Sounds just like me! My scan is 9.10am, the second of the day. I'm hoping this means they will be running on time! At my last scan I drank very dilute vimto and everything was ok, when she asked me to put my legs flat on the bed I actually thought I was going to wee myself! I'm also worried that they won't be able to see much as at my last scan I apparently had lots of gas (lovely!) in my stomach and she had to press really hard, was soooo uncomfortable!

So it'd be ok if I drank weak juice or that clear flavoured water?

I don't think it matters what you drink as long as it isn't gassy. I drank loads of water before mines. :)

I'd say so, my letter just says liquid that you can see through, so very dilute juice should be fine. Give them a call if you are unsure, I think machines probably vary from hospital to hospital, some are probably more sensitive than others. Some lucky people don't even have to go with a full bladder!

Janine your body will be ok, dont worry! I was suprised, i have a few stretch marks but no saggy skin and i actually was lighter then before i ever got pregnant- and i ate like a pig! As for the birth its painful but its bearable- i wouldn't be doing it all again if it was that bad! I'm no size 12 either, im a size 16 so to ping back like that was a big shock :/

Also if you didnt ping back motherhood tends to make you burn sooo many calories aswell as breast feeding if you give that a go- you can never ruin your body but worst case scenario is it takes a few months to drop a few gained lb.

Thanks for that, makes me feel a bit better! Was a little worried about the saggy skin, but I do try and eat well (apart from the sneaky McDonalds today!).

I'm certainly hoping to breastfeed, will give it a very good go! You have made me feel much, much better!

Just popped back in to see how you all are good luck for tomorrow Mozzy am sure all will be well :D I cried right through the whole thing despite having already had scans and knowing deep down all was well it is still just such a relief to have them tell you so :) make sure you let us all know how you got on !

Janine- I was never a size 12 when I had my last three babies but totally agree with candie my body went back quite well too I ended up having a tummy tuck (which is currently being wrecked by growing bump :rotfl:) but that was because I lost all of my weight am now a size 12 or was pre pregnancy and am scared about what will happen after I've just bumped into an old school friend today with her 7wk old son and she has always been a size 10/12 and i've known her for 18yrs now (gosh that makes me feel old !!:rotfl:Have known her since I was 11 we also went through uni together and she was still small) she is now a size 16/18 at a guess and hasn't lost any of it yet that freaked me out a bit and I understand your worries honest I feel exactly the same.

My first ever experience of labour wasn't pleasant and they drugged me so I wouldn't remember it but the second with ds1 was not really too bad I remember pain and lots of it thinking I couldn't cope etc but its so quickly forgotten and you will get through it too :D

    xx

I dont really eat much deli meat, so cant advise there, other than i was told to avoid smoked meats during pregnancy. Peanut butter- i had PB on toast alot for the first 9 weeks, as it was one of the only things i could manage for brekkie. What i read said if there is a history of nut allergies in the family, it might be sensible to avoid peanuts in PG, otherwise, its probably fine to go ahead.

I would say avoid deli meats and peanut butter but packaged ham is ok. I would avoid chicken slices but that's just me,maybe someone here can advise re chicken.
