Hi everyone. Hope you're all ok. Sickness and headaches still not giving me any peace. Frustrated at not being able to get anything done around the house.
Re buying stuff,I'm going to start buying a few bits after 12 week scan, bibs, hats etc, then most of the clothes after 20 week scan once we know the sex. We will be buying the big things in the January sales,as baby isn't due until end feb.:j:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Hello candie_girl,
re budgeting we have got some money saved but as we only have hubby's income so we will be going mse with what we buy.
When we do get stuff I am going to see what I can get 2nd hand eg gumtree etc as they apparently grow very quick out of their clothing so I will def look out for that and some of the big stuff.
Sounds like your doing well saving regularly.

Is anyone finding themselves crying at the silliest stuff? Was watching "the corrie years" prog last night and was in floods when they showed the breaking news of MJ dying, and just now on loose women with the ghost the musical stuff. Argh it's getting a bit embarassing:(:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

I'm crying at anything Lucy, Harry Potter, Cowboy Builders, Matilda.
I find it more funny than anything. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Aw, bluebell, no wonder you want to scream. I hope that the hospital get their act together and get your scan sorted asap!TTC #3..........0

I have rung back and the hospital have now got the faxed copy of my initial referral letter from the GP. They couldn't talk about dates for a scan until it's been graded by a midwife (I guess they check urgent vs non-urgent) so I will just have to be patient into next week, and hope for an appointment letter soon!
Have also left a message with physio department, as I should have been referred there at the same time, in case they've either got all my notes, or they've not heard of me either!
I'm hoping Freecycle will come up with some of the baby bits I'll need
and Christmas / relatives will sort out the rest. Though I might end up January sales shopping for some things too, and there's a second hand baby shop nearby that always has lots of stuff outside. I'm resisting the temptation to look in until after the 20 week scan.
Edited to add - Poundland has quite a few baby things at the moment too, which could come in very useful!0 -
Hello All
Still tired today, glad to hear that it should pass soon though!!
We are saving as much as we can every month, I do internet banking so i transfer what i can which is easier than withdrawing and queing in the bank. I am trying to save anything I can so I can have a bit longer off work, I worked out that when I am on SMP I will need another 150 to cover the mortgage (which is the only bill I pay, my fiancee covers the rest) so I am trying to save as much as poss!!!
We will get a lot in the Jan sales too, hope they are good next year:j
My mum has offered to buy nursery furniture which should help, the prams that I like are a bit pricey though. Has anyone seen any nice ones they like?
Food wise...I love crispbreads with butter or philly on atm. Not sure why though.
I hope everyone is doing ok and has a nice restful wkend!

Went to the doctor today about the headaches I've been having, she said more than likely migraines brought on from pregnancy. They are honestly so sore, I have to lie in the dark and not move at all or it hurts even more. Told her I'm literally living on soup and toast because I can't stand for long enough in the kitchen to make any food. I've to go back in a week and see how I am. Grrrrr. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
