Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

Welcome all the newbies!
Symptoms here vary day to day, but there was nausea from even before I knew I was PG. Feeling a bit less tired just the past two days, but yawning like mad now. Had to stay up to get some work done and watch the end of Waking the Dead from last night.
For those of you who haven't told families/friends yet, are you planning something special? We're 2 weeks and 2 days from our 12 week scan, after which we hope to tell the world. Not sure yet though, how we're going to go about doing that.

Well it's my scan tomorrow!!! Argh! So excited!! Really pleased it's and early appointment probs the second of the day which hopefully means I won't have to wait around for hours!
When we found out we were preg we told our parents straight away. We both told our mother as they knew we'd been trying especially my mam. Then Dh told his dad as he couldn't tell one without the other *insert roll eyes smilie)* Then we found out that his parents went on facebook saying yey I'm going to be a grandparent/Argh I'm going to be a grandparent - delete as appropriate. So we had to tell other family members as some use facebook and then would have told other members and it's just easier lol. What we were going to do is get a copy of the scan picture and put it in a photo frame and send it to Dh's parents or whoever and a note saying hello Grandma etc.
I've had quite a few symptoms - ms (not just morning though), tiredness and better sleeping, v. windy, v. sore nips, really vivid dreams. Like last night I dreamt I'd had the baby (a boy - who's keeping tabs?) and no-one would let me breastfeed lol.0 -
Oops - forgot to say that the scans are amazing!! And welcome to all the newbies!!!
A lot's happened since I was last here. Had a lot of family stuff going on and DH's Great Nana who's nearly 93 has passed this week. But we are happy she knew she was going to be a Great, Great Nana (this baby would be her first).0 -
Symptoms - my first was the most sore boobs in the world lol. I had them for a couple of weeks before period was due, didnt really think anything of it (just ouch lol) and then when it got to the day after my period was due I started to think hmm. Period was obviously my second symptom, or not as it didnt arrive lol. Did the test, faintest line ever. Waited a few days, did another 2 tests got the lines. Week later, morning sickness with a vengeance. Still have it at 27 weeks but mostly have it under control as long as I eat regularly throughout the day and make sure I have breakfast quickly on a morning!
People who have no ms are lucky!:j0 -
Wow, Supermaiden! Hope you ms isn't too bad? At least you have found ways of controlling it. You don't imagine having ms still at 27 weeks, you think that you'll hit 12 weeks and *!!!!!!* it disappears!0

toria I expected it to go or at least not be so bad after 12 weeks, then at 14-16 I expected it to go, then 20 weeks.. still here now though. I feel nauseous on a morning so have to rush and get toast before it starts lol. As long as I do what I do and make sure I have food with me I am fine. Havent actually hugged the loo since 24 weeks so Im doing something right.
I used to take bananas to work but Ive gone off those and now I take crackers to tide me over until break time. Its become a running joke now with colleagues
lovely scan pic durham:j0 -
Wife and I had to go to A and E on monday as she had a 'brown like discharge' that looked like old blood. It wasn't a lot but we went to to A and E anyways.. eventually after 5 hour wait we saw a gynacelogist who examined my wife and said everything looks fine from what he can see (cervix closed still and hormone showing as pregnant).
BUT we had to wait till tuesday for the scan... so nervous those two days. But thankfully on tuesday we had an early scan and got to see the baby's heartbeat... everything else seemed ok too.
And as I was expecting the estimation of the babys 'age' was off if we just used the LMP date. Midwife sonographer estimated baby was 6+4 which is 6+5 today. Still a great outcome to something that could've been a lot worse.
Was amasing to see the heart flashing away, altho not much else to see lol.0 -
Neas glad to hear your bean is fine, I went through something similar last week. It's very worrying.
Hope the Missus has her feet up!0
