The ones that I have are fabric blue coloured bands that have a plastic white button through it. The bit on the outside is flat so doesn't get in the way when you're writing, typing etc. The bit on the inside that presses on the pressure point on your wrist is like a little dome.

I think they were £8 in Boots when I got them a couple of months ago. Washable too. I hope that helps.

    Welshpolarbear...how have you got on?

Cool, thanks. I'm having a hard time at a couple of certain times each day, one of which is right about 11, when I'm still at work. Trying to keep the bean under wraps for a couple of weeks still, so trying to be discreet. :)

Ooooh pigpen its getting close now, is OH ready with the brut force?

Hello to the newbies, I hope you manage to get all of your questions answered.

I am just home from work but am feeling really sorry for myself! I read about mood swings at 7weeks but crikey, feels like the worst PMT ever, thank goodnes OH is delayed, poor boy wouldn't know what to do with himself, if I started blubbing for no reason! Am finding comfort in a £1 easter egg... such a fatty!!

Fab news on the positive scan SVSandy :D!

:hello: to all the noobs - congratulations and welcome!

Am very jealous of all of you who can handle mints! I miss mints, but they make me soooo sick! Even toothpaste has had to be changed and I'm on kids strawberry ice cream flavour which is minging! On a serious note though, there is SOMETHING lurking in my fridge which is evil. I have to leave the room and take a deep breath in before I can open the door because just one whiff of whatever it is and I'm redecorating the walls! Will make DH scrub it out with bicarb when he's home lol.

Have got very fed up with bed rest so I've decided as long as I'm not lifting anything the hernia will be fine. Bump however seems to have alternative plans and wants me asleep 24/7! MIL (who's a goodun :)) tells me to make the most of the peace but I've never been a peace kinda girl - something more along havoc lines suits me :D!

Just 3 sleeps to the scan!! Soooo excited!!

Glad your belly ache is better PP :D

seriously, it doesnt rain but if pours, just come off the phone and am somehow in the middle of a whole load of family politics from talking to the wrong person, along with dealing with my mothers antics, and have just had a phone call off of my dad to say his uncle has died!

Really not a good evening already! my pregnant already spinning brain is not equipped to deal with this right now!

Hi everyone. Had the scan and everything is ok. We'll apart from the understaffing which meant I was sat there for a for an hour with a full bladder waiting for my turn!!
Baby was jumping about and waving his/her arm. It's amazing the difference in change since my scan 3 weeks ago when it was a blob. So relieved. :)

How do I insert a picture? When I click on the icon it's asking me to add a URL. It's on my desktop.

Really pleased your scan went well sandy. Mine too :D I know what you mean about the changes, there was such a difference even from a week and a half ago! And he/she wouldn't stop wriggling! Eventually got a couple of measurements though and am 12+6 today, so am a couple of days forward from what I thought now.

Will get a pic up in a bit, will have to be a photo of the scan pic taken with my phone though as have no scanner!

Welcome to Lirin and Neas - and a big congratulations!! Exciting times.

Look at it all another way...

How old was uncle? Has he had a good long fulfilled life? Than maybe it was his time and you should be happy he didn't have to go on living in poor health or in pain etc.. You can't change it but you can be happy he had those things.. you can't really ask for more. i am sorry for your loss though, we lost my uncle a year ago almost to the day.. he was 51.. it was not expected.. he had a brain haemorrhage and was dead for 4-5 weeks before he was found :(.

As for family.. there is always some drama or other.. if you can't change anthing or make it better just don't get involved.. let them deal with it themselves otherwise you get the whole gang saying you said this and this when you probably didn't.. listen if you must, but don't offer an opinion.. I say I have somewhere to go so sorry can't listen.. must dash... They are grown up responsible for their own actions.. smile and nod and leave it at the door!

you have your own little person to be looking after don't let the rest bring you down.. :D
