  • I've not posted on this thread for a while as i keep forgetting I've joined up lol. I don't forget I'm pregnant just that I'm able to talk to others about it.

Yey lots of newbies! Congratulations on your bfps!

For my booking appointment (on Friday) I went to the doctors (locum) on the Thursday at 6 weeks and said I was pregnant etc and then on the Monday I got my letter for the booking appointment with my maternity notes. I got it early because I also had an appointment to go to the Hospital to go to the Women's & Children's Department to see my consultant as I have Diabetes and I saw my Diabetic nurse. Ok that probably wasn't much help.

My sleeping pattern has been all over the place since finding out I am pregnant. And I've had crazy dreams too.

That's reminded me: at my appointment with my consultant I had my pee tested and there was a trace of glucose (well yeah!), a trace of protein and I tested positive for nitrates. I'm not worried about the glucose as my medication has changed so that's getting rectified but I'm not sure about the other two? I think the protein is what what they test for, for pre-eclampsia isn't it? Which I know I'm at more risk at because I am Diabetic (and over weight:(). Anyone know anything about these?

    Hope you're feeling better RWB?

Great news on all these lovely scans! xx

    I can feel it wriggling

Wow that's great you feel dot wriggling! I can't wait to feel this bubba.

missymoo81 - I love watching OBEM I remember before we moved in Feb me and hubby were watching it and I got upset because I wanted to be there giving birth. At that point I didn't know I was pregnant, maybe not conceived yet but if only I'd known a few weeks later I would get a bfp...

    Wow I talk a lot :D

How long ahead of time did you all get your booking appt date? I'm supposed to go week after next, but haven't heard anything yet. Just a bit worried about scheduling as I have to arrange cover for work.

I got mine on the Tuesday 9 days before appt.

Missy.. if you lived here I'd come with you :( .. it isn't so bad going on your own... but take a book and be prepared to be asked for blood.

awww pigpen thanks my lovely, to be honest my mum or sister could come but they dont know about the probs and they are so dramatic, make a moutain out of a molehill etc, will be better dealing with things by myself to be honest.

Have got the new marian keyes book to take with me, so thats one problem sorted, the drs have rung me again and told me about having a full bladder, which is going to be fun on a half hour drive when i want to go for a wee every 5 minutes anyway!!! God I hope I'm not delayed! Mind you saying that I wouldn't care if I had to wait all day as long as everything is ok.

I have a 1/2 pint mug of tea before I set off.. and usually a wee!

By the time they get to me I am bursting to go and my kidneys are lazy! Here they won't even try abdominally at 6-7 weeks.. but I refused the internal scan at 7 weeks and made the try the conventional way and a clear baby and hb was seen.

well im hoping they will try for a scan first, will only be 6 weeks 2/3 days though, so might be too early. I am one of those people that in a smear test shoots the opening thingy across the room, so they might have a little bit of difficulty trying to do it any other way!!!!!!

Hmmm would so love a cup of tea, but have really gone off it, I really miss it as I used to drink about ten cups a day, now I like the thought of tea but actually drinking it, yyyuuuuukkkk. best take a bottle of water with me! hmmm thinking about it, think it might be the milk, might try it black.....

At 6 +2/3 it is likely the abdo scan would pick up a sac and not much else.. internally they might find the inhabitant!

You won't be shooting anything anywhere.. it is a 10 inch dildo they have hold of.. you sneeze it is in your throat :p

yes mirror I had the fainting thing but early on and cracked my head so hard I knocked myself out and gave myself a fat lip, didn't know I was preggers then though, I dont know why it happens though but I think it is pretty common,as it was the first thing they asked me when I had been taken to A&E.
