Just been reading that thread about a 7 year old child being bought Black Ops. I'm still astounded that a mother would give it more than half a seconds thought.

Some people don't deserve to be parents.

Anyway, on a slightly lighter note. I want to feel baby move Boohoo. Can I have yours pp?

I don't think they don't deserve to be parents I think they need to be better informed.. so they know how to make appropriate choices and decisions to keep their children safe and the ratings should be enforced. We have a password on the xbox so any games over a 7+ have to have the password put in.. you can ok games for 1 off playing or for free play.. some 15 games are little more than silliness and the older games with 12 and 15 ratings aren't usually so bad.. my boys have Overlord which is cartoon style violence yet a 15 and having seen it played my 12 year old is allowed to play it.. but stuff like GTA and COD are way too extreme for youngsters.

But then there are also the ones who allow their youngsters access for facebook and the like.. you are supposed to be 13 for an account on there and the language some of them use.. :eek:

Oh dont get me started on facebook. I know so many people who have created profiles for their children (<1). I can't see the point personally.

My OH is sat playing COD atm and I just watched his 'character' get his throat slashed. Nice.

Having grown up being totally exposed to all sorts of games (my eldest brother is a programmer and general computer geek), I totally agree with you about COD and GTA being highly inappropriate. Im lead tyo believe that in the latest GTA, the car suspension actually reacts when you drive over a body.

IMO, there is a world of difference between a 7 yr old and a 12yr old.

God I hope Im having a girl.

I heard that about GTA too.. but I won't have it in the house I have enough trouble with WoW and SIMs I don't need that too! I have a house full of geeks (of course I'm not a geek in the slightest [hides settlers/emperor/AoE/anyting with star in the title and the external hd] that would be shameful) :whistle: I am so evil I won't let these play Fable III (they had homosexual bed activity and prostitution and bigamy on that! Not something I wish my chimps to see) and DS2 was only allowed on assassins creed offline and when everyone else was in bed and we were in the room.. the same for Divinity II ..

Though they are merrily paying through Banjo and Kazooie : Nut and Bolts at the moment..

Bedtime for me and Dot.. so.. be back after my much needed nail appt in the morning.. and 1 day closer to the scan

oh don't hun, i've a friend and at half term she said on fb, her hubby was playing C.O.D with the girls and they were having a brillent time of it, and the dad said the best bit is when we shoot and kill each other. The children are 3 and 6 :eek: i was beyond shocked .

Morning everyone (just!),

11+5 for me today and only 6 sleeps until scan - OH is so unbelievably excited but I'm so nervous!
Talking about gender, I am convinced I am having a boy, dont know why but keep referring to baby as boy already. OH wants to find out what we're having but I really dont, I think its part of the excitement to have a surprise Got 8 weeks or so to convince him of my way of thinking!

I'm about the same size now as I was at 7 months last time :O Clearly, most of it is fat (:D) but I am so bloated its actually painful. I have some 'windeez' somewhere..I may have to go take them. Although, its not farting I need to do! Boohoo.

OH's last day at work today.

Oh my GOD. My dog just opened the washing machine door and pulled out half of the stuff Errr! Why is she so evil! Lol.

Had a call back from the agent today re: the house we viewed. The LL is going to see what needs doing after the current tennant moves out but its looking promising. I think having a project to focus on would help these first few months pass. I shouldnt have done all the wedding planning so early! Although on a slightly more serious note, the only way I am going to fit into my dress is If i am not pregnnant on June 11th and I dont really want to think about that as a possibility so I need to make some arrangements for another dress....Booo!
