lol, i would but the kids are coming with us to see. they are very excited.i'm the only one that is unsure about finding out. but once i'm there i'll prob wanna know instantly. typical women me, always changing my mind, lol.:rotfl:

Have you checked with the hospital? Mine said only one adult at the scan & no children as there were no creche facilities. Everywhere's different but it might be worth checking first!

Ours allows 2 in butno small sproggits.. though the baby will have to come with me so it is tough if they don't like it.

DD1 came to our scan last year at 15 but I guess it is the small ones who might run riot and misbehave they don't want rather than the big ones and very small ones who stay put.

no one has said no kids. we took our 2 yr old last time and there was other parents there with other children. they were very accondating to our little boy, explaing everything to him and letting him see all being done.

if worst came to worst and they said no kids. then i'd get hubby to stand outside and rotate so every one got a turn.

I'll have to do some searching, but there are some ways you can make educated guesses about the sex of the baby by when you did the BD around your time of conception. Obviously this only works if you know your ovulation date, but those of us who have been trying keep track of all the gory details. :p The basic principle is that if you have sex only on the day of ovulation/day after, then you're more likely to have a boy, but if you have sex before (especially two or more days before), then it's more likely to be a girl. Apparently boy sperm swim faster/better, but die sooner compared to long, hard-working girl sperm. (sounds like real life, eh?) Of course, if you're going at it like bunnies, then there's just no telling. :D

I have 3 possible dates we DTD which resulted in the current wriggler.. but as I haven't a clue when ov occurred that info is useless. but I guess it is what it is. All 3 dates coincide with my 9-13 weeks idea.. I 'think' it was the last week in January though.. which would make the due date around 17-22nd October.. so.. we have it narrowed down a little more.. MW went on the assumption I am 10 weeks today so I should be about bang on 12 weeks when they do the scan..

guess what I have been doing the last hour *saddo*

oooh I have a bag of bounty bumf to peek through.. and vouchers to filter out.. and bin the rest... when OH isn't looking lol

This week is miscarriage week for me... 5 of my 7 have happened during week 10 when the placenta has just not developed enough to sustain the feotus.. so i am clock watching and knicker witching for the week.

Oh.. stupid MW .. asked me.. how do you know you are pregnant if you've not had a period????????

erm... the 50 tests I did told me so?!

What did she think I was doing? Making an appointment so I could have bloods taken and a bounty pack.. does she think I have some odd fetish?!

And what also amused me.. there are 4 mw's in this team.. 3 have left since I had the baby only 1 is still there lol.. think it might be all my fault! lol

And she asked when my last period was.. 18-11-09.. she said right 18th november makes you... erm.. did you look at the year???? no.. lol... I said that period is there.. and pointed in the pushchair! lol.. I had told her about 6 times I hadn't had one since having the baby ..

I am glad they actually did the physio referral today though.. saves me going back.. and they said about having bloods done at 28 weeks etc.. I said actually no, I am meant to have them every 4 weeks due to my anti-c antibodies.. if the level gets high it can cause anaemia or death of the baby as my antibodies will attack the baby's red blood cells if it has the c antigen.. I explained this to the student mw as the actual one had no idea what it meant other than it was bad. I am hoping the level didn't increase too much when I had shorty.. the mixing of blood might have caused my antibodies to go wild and be there in greater quantities. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks.

She offered to come see me at home instead of me walking the minute to the clinic.. I said heck no I'd have to tidy my mess!

though she can't count.. apparently 9 and 7 make 13... erm... no.. 9 children and 7 m/c make this pregnancy 17.. no.. there are 13 written here.. yes.. and 2 on the next page .. 13 add 2 is 15.. add the one in the pushchair not on that list.. makes.. 16 and this is therefore number 17.. this we went through 6 times before she got it!

I don't feel this mw is particularly competant but she does try and she did listen somewhat so I withhold judgement temporarily.
