Hi ladies - I'm feeling a bit braver this week so wondered if I could pop my head round the door and be added to the list?
I think I'm 5 weeks pregnant, although this was my first cycle following a miscarriage so I'm not 100% sure of the dates (although I did use ovulation tests, so I'm fairly sure). Last time I miscarried I wasn't very sure of my dates, and I only knew about the pregnancy for one week. Some how getting past that first week this time has given me a tiny bit of hope, but I'm still very anxious about it all.
My boobs got bigger and sore last week, but then went back to normal over the weekend which made me a bit panicky, but the test lines are getting darker (must stop testing soon!!) and I have a filthy cold which I take as a good thing
Looking forward to chatting with you all0 -

mrsj28, hi! Hope this is a sticky bean for you this time (for us all!)
My boobs are a lot bigger and quite sore, need to buy some new bras tomorrow as I am getting the dreaded twin boob effect when your cup size is too small..
Just 6+2 today, got my early scan today, really looking forward to it but cant wait for it to be over too!We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Hello ladies,
So sorry to hear your news newcook, take care of yourself.
There has been lots of sad news on here of late its heartbreaking and I am just trying to be thankful that every day is one more day for my baby to grow. Its quite upsetting and scary to see so many leaving but I'm hoping that there are safe healthy babies for us all.
Mrs(not)J - so good to see you here again, i know what you mean about passing milestones being a little more reassuring, I am past the point of both my miscarriages now and I feel a bit more excited about it all.
Mogwai - good luck for your scan today, will be lovely to see a tiny baby shaped smudge in there
Scan for me a week today and I'm getting nervous, got my booking in with the midwife this week too so suddenly its all go, my sickness seems to have eased a little now too - down to only 4/5 times a day which is a massive improvement, I'm just hoping it lasts!
We are having a birthday party for my pet rabbit today as we got her a year ago (SO pathetic I know but I'm really excited) and have managed to bake a carrot cake - hopefully baby will like it as it doesn't seem that keen on vegetables so far!
Hope you're all doing well0 -
Lemon- lol i dont think thats sad atall.

Afternoon all. Suffering dreadfully with sickness, spots, gray skin, I'm tired all of the time and starving (but mostly for fruit and meat). my dad's just been informed that he has shingles so I'm not allowed near him for a while.
Went for my flu jab on Friday and the nurse looked at me like I was stupid when I said it hadn't been confirmed. Needless to say- no jab but a test has been sent off to the lab. Was told to call back for it today but after calling this morning and then again this afternoon I've been told that it won't be ready until tomorrow. Anyone think I need a new doctors?I don't often return to a thread I've posted on so.... if you want to ask me about anything I've written please pm me- I don't bite.0 -
Lemon - the birthday part is such a lovely idea, hope the baby likes the carrot cake! Yum!
teaandcupcakes - I know, I am pretty good at keeping it a secret until I see somebody in person!! I was visiting my parents at the weekend and they cooked steak on Saturday night so I had to put in a request for a well done steak whereas usually I'd go for medium rare.... and had to explain myself!
Fran-o - that's great you have a scan date, is that a private scan or is it your NHS 12 week scan?0
