I'm 9 weeks and 5 days today. Due on the 14th October and I'm so flippin excited I could burst!! Well today in my jeans I literally could burst they're that tight. Been sat at my desk with my buttons open most of the morning!

Ahh, yes, I know that feeling! :rotfl:Do you have your scan date through yet? The wait to 12 weeks is painful isn't it. Mind you, it's a bit of an anti-climax after your scan too, waiting for the next one!

    xDx

Well I had one Friday which confirmed how old bean is but they are booking me in for another one for the 12 week scan. I'm still waiting for the date for that one. The scan from last week was a little blob shape so it'll be amazing to see the change 3 weeks has on it. :)

I've had enough! I rang docs and cried down the phone :( doc said come straight away, he agreed 4 weeks is way to long so prescribed me some enemas went to chemist next to docs who said they didnt have any and to try another chemist, I got a taxi to chemist near my house (my car wont start, but thats another story!) who tells me the product is no longer available and to go back to my GP arghhhhh, I rang docs he said he will ring the chemist see if they can give me an alternative, so I waits in the chemist when he rang, the chemists has told me now there is no alternatives there and to go home doc will ring me :( so here I have sat waiting next to the phoen.

Sorry for the rant i'm just so upset really wanted to enjoy this pregnancy but up to now its been miserable :(

Poor you bella, that must be awful! How can they not carry enemas? Hope they get back to you soon.

MSM, here's hoping all's gone well for you at the scan and you're home now, relaxed and feeling safe. :)

SkipE, I can only imagine how you must be feeling now. Having had one miscarriage makes you think that it's going to happen again. Try your best not to stress (I'm saying this to myself too), as our little beans like calm mommies. :D I think the symptoms are so widely varying that you can't rely on them as a sign of anything either way. After about 5 days of nausea, etc. I woke up one day with nothing for like an hour and was freaking out a little, but then was gurgling again later that morning. Yesterday, felt nice and energetic making dinner, and then went to sleep at ten to nine! (and I normally need about 6-7 hours is all).

I think I'm going to have to make a countdown to the second trimester calendar. :p

Are you all avoiding any herbs/spices? I was hunting for info about caraway, as licorice is a no-no later in pregnancy and came across this whole list of cooking herbs to avoid. Trying to decide if this is just being neurotic, or being careful.

As for me and the "big thread", I think I'm going to stay here where it's safe and cozy for a few more weeks. :D

borderline neurotic Jen.. :p lol.. but if it helps you and makes you happy then go for it! I can't eat garlic as it upsets baby.. even through the breastmilk so I've not touched that in months.. I am so despeate for a huuuuge plate of garlic mushrooms! I don't avoid anything, I have such a restricted diet as it is anything else left out I'd fade away!

  • Hi Everyone
I've not posted for a few weeks but I love reading the thread every day (think I'm a bit addicted :rotfl:)!

I'm 9 weeks today and finally got my booking appointment in the post for Monday 9am! :j It's all starting to seem a bit real now but I'm trying not to get excited until I have a scan and know everything's ok. :o

Quick question - How long does the booking appointment usually last andwhat happens?

    Thanks
