Oh and Millie, I am cancelling social events like crazy, because I am finding it SO difficult to be the only sober one in a room full of people drinking!

Oh Millie, thats something, hope your wabbit recovers well!

tattoo - sorry you coudln't have tacos, I think its completely irrational you can't and you should have them!

DW and I went to the most amazing BBQ place today, not a stitch on real texan BBQ (DW is Texan!) - but as close as you can get in the UK, it was good. I ate too much and nearly threw up on the way home.

I've managed to avoid buying anything today, as much as I have been desperate too!

I LOVE Texas - we have family there and I love listening to their accents. DH has never met them but he's been getting addicted to that awful Man v food programme. We're contemplating going over there (my relatives are quite old and in the nicest possible way, won't be around much longer) whilst I'm pg so we can
    1) See relatives
    2) Eat Man V food stylee whilst I'm pg and can!!!!!!

    Great news on your scan.

2b - that is brilliant news on your scan, glad the experience was a good one this time round.
zcrat - sorry but I agree with your DH; Man v Food is brilliant!!! How he manages to eat some of those things I have no idea!
At last I've got may scan - next Thursday (even though I'll be 13+1), I just can't wait for it. I just want to know all is well
Well, off to watch some of the olympics, I'm loving it

Horrible sonographer - possibly homophobic? Didn't explain anything, was really brusk and offish with us, really rude too. Made a formal complaint (which I was nervous about) but SO glad I did it, the level of service I have received since then has been amazing! :j

Now to wait out the next 5 weeks and 2 days! x

    Hello

Can I join your club? Just found out I,,m 7 weeks pregnant. :-) It is planned but much sooner than expected! Am very excited but don't think I'm actually going to believe it until my first scan.
And for that reason we've decided we dont want to tell anyone until then!
So now for the advice asking.. sorry!

My boss is not the nicest and when I eventually tell him i don't expect him to be pleased!
My problem is I work Mon - Fri 8.30 til 5.30 in a very small office in the middle of nowhere and only get half hours for lunch!
I rang the midwife whilst sat in my car at lunch today and they are telling me I need to make various appointments and call people in the middle of the day! I know I'm entitled but I am not telling my work for another month yet and generally I need 2weeks notice for time off. I already left early for the doctors yesterday but I'm not sure how to handle the other appointments and calls they want me to make?

How do you manage? Surely its normal to be working so why am I expected to do eVerything in the middle of the day so early on?

I'll have advanced warning for the first scan so will take the day off but they want me to have an 11o'clock appointment this week or next and someone called me and left me a message telling me to call back at 9 tomorrow!!

What do I do? Other than sitting in my car I can't make a private call!

forgot to say, if anyone has tesco points, you can double them up at the mo and one of the categories is baby, so might be a chance to get a few bits and bobs x
