I had my implanon in nearly 3 years and had it removed towards end of April 2012. Last period was 8/6/12 and I thought yeasterday as I was going to town that I would buy a test just incase. So I went to Wilkinsons and then another shop and then to the toilet at Tesco. Thinkng there is no time like the present I did the test in the toilets at Tesco. I couldn't believe it when it came out positive. I then continued to poundland, phones4u and the bank and went home. Picked my 6 year old up from school and took him to his swimming lesson. I told my partner and my mum last nght.
So between having the implanon removed and my last period (start of 40 weeks) its only been 7 weeks!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Happy and excited :jbut cant believe its been so quick. I know 2 couples (friends) who have been trying for well over a year. Dont want to tell them yet as I dont want to 'rub it in'!!
I'm going to Butlins soon with my son, partner and his parents and sister. Wont be able to go on flumes in pool, funfair or have a glass or 2 of wine. His family are going to realise in about 24 hours after we get there!!! But how do I explain to my 6 year old that mummy cant go on any fun fair rides this year without telling him or upsetting him? :money:
Plus as its all happened so quick I have got 2 days out booked in October for Alton Towers from the sun deal and one deal in Sep for Lego Land!!!! Never mind. Still going to legoland with family, obviously no rides.0 -
Congratulations LKMC!! COuld you not go on the smaller easier rides with your 6 yo? I've been on antibiotics for my wisdom teeth to a lot of friends over the last 10 weeks, I find that's always a good one to get out of drinking!0

Hello!
Happy to clarify my situation [edited for privacy]
I'm struggling SO much with dehydration and headaches at the moment. (obviously related!) - I'm drinking what feels like too much, can't stop glugging! AND knicker checking everytime I go to the toilet! I have bouts of nausea, and have done that dry wretching thing a couple of times today - I feel like blooming terrible!
Of to the GP tomorrow to start this whole process, will I need to pee pee in a cup for him/her?

2b - I didn't have to pee for the doc! Tbh, the first doc appt was really boring - you say you're preggo, they ask if you're a smoker/overweight or an unhealthlu eater. When I answered no to those questions that was it, I was out the door. Doc was totally underwhelmed, maybe yours will be nicer.0

2b - mine didn't even ask if I was a smoker or an unhealthy eater (overweight clearly not applicable in my case). Just when was your last period, and which hospital do you want to go to (out of 2). No comments on healthy eating, folic acid, potential things to watch out for (like an ectopic!) or anything. Bit of a waste of time really. I'd gone to get folic acid anyway and took them with and said 'should I be taking these' (packet said to ask your doctor, so I did) and he then looked up online what the correct dosage was!! (Which I already had....).
Then the referral didn't get sent through for quite a while so make sure you chase that up too!0 -
Hello!
Happy to clarify my situation as it can be rather confusion! I am a woman, and my DW is obviously a woman. We have a DS (4), who isn't biologically ours, and this is my first pregnancy. I have PCOS and this is the 3rd donor we have tried - and was the first attempt with this guy too! Its a guy we met on the internet purely for this - he wont have any contact or involvement until the child turns 18.
Thanks for clarifying! i don't know any same sex couples so wasn't sure how it worked. Glad you got a BFP with PCOS... sounds like it has been a bit of a journey xx:jBaby Boy born December 20120
