Evening everyone, the weather is truly awful! Halight, sorry to hear of the chap that died, makes you wonder eh?
Paula, thinking of you, big hugs.
Good to hear from you JackieG, get better soon.
Went for a swim after work, came home and cleaned out the chicken coup (should have been done a couple of days ago). Got drenched so went for a nice warm shower. Have made a pot of spicy tomato soup and put the WM on. Emptied DW and prepared veg for stir fry tonight. As I now have my pjs on I shall have a cosy night in catching up with some paperwork!
Hugs to all, hope the poorlies are feeling better. Take care. XX0 -
How do you tell when your gas is back on!!its not like light or water that you can just leave the source on! we are enduring our second cut of the day and i want my heating on--do you leave the combi on primed?----we have never had gas cuts here--we have only had gas one year and hardly use it for 9 months of the year.--electricity and water are regular stoppers because of maintenance but gas is new and unknown!--i know it from back home but have never known it to be off!--there was a rumour this morning it was because the pipeline was frozen in the east at overnight temps of -45--i always find it hard to comprend a country that is so close to the middle east having such cold.---where i live is very hot in summer and never extrmely cold or wet--it has never snowed here in living memory of the old gal!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

What a blow for you Paula, hope you and your Dad are able to comfort each other and share some good memories in the coming days. Love and hugs.
Hugs also to all that need them, if you feel able to accept them.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... just had tea - very nice it was too! might watch a bit of rugby but got to take the dogs out and also collect DS2 from a friends.
Halight - I forgot to say I too have an old hand singer sewing machine. It was given to me by a man I used to clean for - still got the book and original oil tin it came with plus various bits that can be used on it. His family bought it to make backout curtains with!
It is in need of a service now as its not sewing right but it used to sew really well.Do what you love :happyhear0 -

The oil tin that you have i worth quite a bit of money. Give it a clean up and put it on show. many people colette these old oil cans.
Big and little.

Redruby, Good news that your dad is ok and he is comming home tomorrow. I bet you will all be glad to have him back.
Its good that SS are going to be offering the help that your mom and dad needs.
My ow grandma an granddad needed help for a long time. But my granddad would not have it. He was very proud you see. But in the end it really was getting too much for my grandma and other family memebrs. My grandma died 6 weeks after the help started. her heart gave out. She was jsut worn out you see. My granddad had to go straight into a home as he needed 24 hour care. He died 9 days later. he did not go to the furnal of my grandma. Did not wont to go. He left us to sort it out. His only input was that they wonted there ashis to be spred over kinver egde. He also before he died told us who should have what of the main things that they had. Then said do what you like with all the other stuff.
Iv got the wallet And his army cap bage.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Sorry i dont know why i went into all that detail??????
