 I am spitting feathers and fit to be tied......just back from MILs having dropped son off for the weekend, and asked her if she was bringing the car next weekend to daughters 21st party, she quite seriously replied she wasn't coming to the party as she didn't get a proper printed invitation and it wasn't right, no-one got a flipping "proper" invitation, they were all verbal! She was deadly serious and in a proper huff, even gave me DDs present and card as she wouldn't see her- her birthday is valentines day, for gods sake!!!
I have always known where OH gets his childish huffy streak, but this takes the biscuit, came home and told him and its apparently all my fault and I should rush back to make it up with her......oh look, a flying pig just passed the window!
I dont have the time or the energy for this game, so it can sort itself out, or not as the case may be...families, sheesh!

Meanwhile i will bet that your office mate will be sat there on her own doing nothing all weekend.
Im willing to bet that the only thing she has in her life is work.

I was thinking that too... may have mumbled it a few times!

I spent the evening making milkshakes (Yummy Shake-away imitations) and bread... and now the boys have kicked me out so they can watch the Rugby (England V's Wales I think... big match apparently) and I have been sent away to do 'woman stuff' I was given the choice of reading or baking!!

Evening all, and sorry to hear of your losses.

Adelight - keep taking care of yourself, and don't push things too hard with uni etc, you can always see if you can get notes sent to you etc if you'd be best taking a couple of days off to sort your health out fully.

    Jools - what a fanny!

Well I've got a cold and am thus feeling disproportionately sorry for myself. So this weekend is going to consist of very little OS or anything else.

I did however have something rather interesting occur in the supermarket earlier. Ages ago, I'd got some Twinings free samples via a post on this site, and they came with money off vouchers for Twinings products - Moneysaving The First. Now since Tesco have their teabags on offer I thought I'd get some - MS The Second, and see if I could use the vouchers as part payment as well which I could - MS The Third. Then the till spat me a £3 off £20 spend ticket, I'd only even gone to a manned one so I could use the vouchers and the self-service tills I usually use never give me spits. MS The Fourth!

How lovely! Moneysaving breeds Moneysaving! :rotfl:

İ am wondering if i live in the right world--my daughter went to a disco this afternoon with her friends from school--a boy from 2 years older asked her to dance and he was very admiring--she is beautiful and willowy--she gave him her number--she is 13 and he is 15
i remember taking my first real gf of 13 to a cinema to see grease when i was 15--now that dates me!!--my wife has gone hyper and my daughter is in the dog house---is my wife being over protective??--my daughter is a very sensible girl --more so than her parents!
