OH didn't give me a look in with naming Squeak either, and he's being silly about this one. All my 4's names are in the top 100 for last year, because I was so completely isolated from the world when the twins were born (long story) I had no idea one of the names was so popular. KH was dead set on DD1's name so didn't get a look in with that either, and it was another popular one. Now Twin2 knows about 6 children with her name, Twin1 only know one other child with her name and DD1 knows 3 or 4.
I have noticed there are hundreds of jasmines and isabellas running around, and loads of jacks, and it seems to be compulsory to call baby boys Oliver (Ollie) round here now, though I don't know any older ones.
I really liked the name Seth for a boy but DSD has a dog with a similar sounding name and I know she will go on and on about the baby being named after her dog so that's one of my favorite names gone. She didn't have the flaming dog when we didn't know if Squeak would be a boy but then OH wanted to call a boy 'Zak' that's it, just three letters! I said no, if it has to be Zak (which I really don't like anyway) then Isaac goes on the BC, because at least that doesn't shout 'look at me my parents are dyslexic' to schools and employers etc after all baby will have their name for lifeMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

we know about 5 couples with isabelles born last year.. it's a lovely name but a bit of imagination people! lol.
My girls names seemed to become popular about 3 years after I used them... The boys.. well let's just say we have only ever met 2 people who share DS1's name and noone has DS2's and only 1 person we can recall with DS3's name.. So picking another boys name would be interesting to say the least. I wanted to call DS1 Izaak
Fabulous news Sandy.. there are much more boys on the list.. be nice to see a pink one.. see jinxed it for me now. another girl I am certain.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

That's my point, Isaac etc is OK, but just Zak? lol. I would say that's OK as a shortening but I don't like Zak as a whole name.
He probably thinks I'm jus being weird, especially after I told him off (before we even got together) about giving DSD a mouthful of a name, complete with double barelled surname. Although he wanted it for Squeak as well, no chance. No offence to anyone who has one but I have a long surname anyway which I absolutely hate and was bullied about at school and I am not going to inflict it on an innocent baby, and it sounded terrible together
ETA Congrats SandyWe thought Squeak would be a boy until the scan. Shows how accurate our 'feelings' are lol.

lol..no at all I'd have been quite happy for her to just have mine but OH wanted her to have his too.. his mother was REALLY pee'd off when I said she wasn't havin his surname.. and what would have been amusing was I could have given her KH's surname.. that would have been interesting!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

My older 3 have KH's surname, Squeak has OH's and mine is not the same as any of them
I do get annoyed when people call me Mrs.'KH' at the school etc. Id actually quite like to work in a school but I'd have to get married or just change my name lolMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

It amused me when Squeak was born and one of the women from the school said ' Ooh let's have a look at the new baby 'KH''... erm.. I think you'll find she isn't his and has a different surname .. her face was a picture lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
