fluffysox- congrats, and wow- 49 hours? Connor's a lovely name!
Since I'm 14 weeks, and everyone's been telling me when I hit the magic 12 all the nausea would stop and it hasn't- is that an indicator it's here to stay? Since I haven't really had morning sickness, and the only real problem I have is constant nausea and a sore back I'm getting off lightly....
Spoke to the midwife about my back, and as I'd thought there's not a lot they can do. Asked me if I'd ever done physical sports- had to grin at that! Used to compete in martial arts, have damaged something on every limb at some point.....
S£x? That's very definitely NOT off the menu at the moment.....:)0 -
Congrats Fluffysox! Sorry you had to go through all that but glad he arrived safe and well!
Lirin - Mine continued to around 16/17 weeks and I still occasionally get it now. I'm 18+5. Make sure you eat quite soon after you get up xx
Am off to the docs today to see if my DS1 has chicken pox or not. Few in school seem to have it so looks likely. Just worried how it will affect babyThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Congrats to Fluffy - happy to hear that he's a little darling after such a long delivery process
Lirin, I think my MS stopped around 18 weeks. Occasionally still feel a little sick in the morning if I drink juice before I eat
Pigpen, almost reedemed himself is a lot closer than my KH got. Rolled in at about 10pm, hasn't muttered a word to me. Got up, he made his own lunch (not mine) and went to work. Grrrrr.
Oh well off to the see the midwife in an hour
Hugs x:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0 -
He is slightly unredeemed... he was coming to bed at the same time as me which is almost unheard of... then came up 2 hours later.. If I wanted to be one my own all night I wouldn't have him in the first place.. I really struggle to sleep on my own.
Being nice I did leave him in bed this morning when I got up to wait for the roofer.. first thing roofer asks is. can you move the bus.. lol.. kick OH out of bed.. I did make him coffee though..
I have about 3 load of washing to hang out so I'm on with that next.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I'm afraid that I had morning sickness till six months and the nausea has just started again in my last month. I'm afraid that the magic 12 weeks is just for a lucky few that we all hold on to for hope!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Morning all.
I had sickness till about week 14/15 but wasn't actually sick very often. I sometimes think that's worse. TUC biscuits were my saviour. I had a lot of ginger biscuits and ginger tea which I can't stand the smell of now.
I have my 20 week scan today at 11:45 and I'm so nervous. My best friend of 19yrs had some very bad news at her 20 wk scan and I can't get that out of my head. Even though I had 4 other friend's and you guys who have had really good 20 weeks scans it always tends to be the bad ones that we think of doesn't it:o0 -
I'm exactly the same Sandy! Mine is a week today and I am bricking it! It really doesn't matter if it's our 3rd boy or first girl - just as long as it's healthy. I hear so many stories of complications. Coupled with the fact that I think DS1 has chicken pox I'm feeling very anxious about it. I hope it all goes well for you hun xxThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

If you have had chickenpox before you should be OK and so should baby. Obviously it's not ideal but just make sure you call the surgery and ask them, or do it when DS1 sees them. The lotion is free on prescriptionMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

HiJust thought i'd pop in.
I didn't get any braxton hicks in my last pregnancy, so when labour did start a couple of days early i thought it was practice contractions! Good job my waters broke and i soon realised it was for real!I also didn't have a big bump, my son was 6lb 8oz when born so that explains why i wasn't that big. Everything went smoothly, but i'm expecting it to be different this time around!
