It can be a sign of high BP.. best to be safe.. go get a speedy check.. if you nip to the GP surgery the nurse can do it and will sneak you in to the GP if needs be.. :D

Thanks Pigpen I just checked it myself and although it is high for me it is still totally within the normal healthy range. :o

I had this problem early on i didnt go for nearly 5 weeks and believe me it was agony!!!!! i tried lactulose, tablets and in the end enemas, the enemas where the only thing that worked, it was such a relief it got the point where I could hardly walk and was sobbing on the phone to the doctors receptionist :o

thankfully this is no longer a problem :D

SVsandy just to quickly say Movicol wasn't recommended to me during pg as I had it for my IBS when travelling pre-pg. Fybogel is perfectly safe and more gentle than Movicol. You can get it over the counter (get the orange one!) but make sure you have lots of water - all those sorts of powders work by taking in moisture so you have to make sure you're taking enough on board or you'll make things worse. It can also take a couple of days to get things moving again.

If you're eating lots of fruit and veg already then gentle exercise or pottering around the house and bouncing on a ball all help to kick start things for me.

    Hi girlies!

Sorry I've been AWOL for a few days, have been trying to keep up on my phone (and giggling away at the topics of conversation :rotfl:) but we've had our 20 week scan today and we're Team Blue!!!We're all absolutely over the moon, especially DS who will make a fantastic big brother :D!

I'm another advocate of bran flakes and fresh OJ for constipation although I do have lactulose in case it gets too bad, I remember you struggling earlier on Bella and feeling so bad for you!

Love all the interesting jobs everyone has! I was a legal executive until the recession hit but more recently have been working in the local chippy - definitely not planning on going back after maternity leave, and will probably never eat fish and chips again ! Using my extended sick leave before maternity to work out what I'm going to do afterwards because I'm another one that unfortunately has to work, unless we score a lottery win in the meantime :D

    Koala
hope the headaches go away, I sometimes get them and take Paramol (I think, it's a blue pack anyway), then followed by a shower and bed/dark room work for me. All that extra blood pumping around causes congestion in parts of the brain and then come the headaches... as if being PG isn't bad enough!

Anderson I was in tears too, that's lovely, I don't have any stretch marks but almost want some now and if I do get them I will print that too!

Wow SDH you are getting close now, not sure what that website is but will check it out.

Got a free Winnie the Pooh mobile today off Freecycle, it projects onto thei ceiling and also plays a tune, so happy! Our cat finds it veeeeeeery untrustworthy and suspicious, God knows what he'll think of Sweetpea:rotfl:
