Hi ladies and bumps :) hope everyone is ok and not in too much pain....

We had our 20 week scan today too and are team yellow as our hospital won't tell you the sex unless you pay them £50 for n additional scan at 23 weeks! We are planning to go for a private scan though so hopefully we will find out soon :)

Everything was fine with scan , no problems :) Flump was very active and the sonographer had to keep going back to get measurements because flump had moved and wouldn't keep still!

I have to go back at 36 weeks for another scan as my placenta is low lying so I might need a c-section. Has anyone else had this and were you able to give birth naturally? I'm not worrying but I like to be prepared!

Thanks Sparkle I went outside and stood in the garden in the pouring rain for 15 mins which eased the pain a lot but am now vaguely concerned about the side effects of being so soaked through. :o :rotfl:

Mancbird I had that with my younger son and it ended up moving up enough so that it was no longer considered in the danger zone......he was delivered by c section in the end but that was due to other unrelated complications. :o

Congratulations on team blue Winnie. :D. I am leavingw my job after mat leave if that appeals at all? Certainly not glamourous and can be a bit icky at times but definitely a great and enjoyable job. :o

Evening all. Congrats on team blue Winnie. Saw the consultant today - what a waste of time that was. Basically said I have to have growth scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks then meet with her at 36 weeks to decide what to do. I want an elective c-section. She basically said if baby is measuring big she will book me in for 39 weeks. Otherwise she will see me at 41 weeks and examine me. If I am favourable for induction they will induce me but won't let me labour many hours for fear of scar rupturing and so if I go long they will give me a c-section. If I am unfavourable for induction, they will book me in for a c-section around due date.

So I am a bit furious!! All options end in a possible c-section and I would just prefer to have one at 39 weeks. I'm fed up of going overdue and being in and out of hospital. I've told DH he's coming with me at that 36 week appointment so if I get upset, he can speak for me.
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!

If a section is going to rupture the most common times are the FIRST hour of labour and as you are pushing.. arm yourself with such info and take it in... and don't take no for an answer.. if it is what you want push for it and you will get it..

Play the elective sections safer than emergency ones card, had one previously and don't leave without a date!!!!

Show you know what you are talking about and they don't have a leg to stand on!

(says the person who thinks she might have just cancelled the appointment for the anomaly scan by accident.. oops!!)

    Evening all

Very sore and hurty tonight so am consoling myself with a box of chocolate fingers :p

Baby is hyper ... all the 'kicks' (as I am assuming they are) are still low down .... absolutely nothing movement wise above my belly button. Still have a lump up the top though which I assume is head, and therefore my guess is baby is still breech and tap dancing in my pelvis :rotfl:

Not looking forward to a morning at the hospital tomorrow, but needs must and all that. At least we'll know if he's moved or not.
