MrsS.. I'd ask.. if they say no at least you tried.. how would you cope 2 weeks overdue? I would literally have killed someone if I had been left any longer with Squeak.. even if you ask if they will induce on your due date it is possibly earlier than if they left you.
This one IS being delivered 3-4 weeks early unless it decides it is coming sooner.. It is measureing 2 weeks bigger than it should be already .. another reason I am not bothered by the lack of movements.. it is huge! while it is ok at 19 weeks by the time I get to 30 it won't be ok.. people who are 5 ft 2 3/4 should NOT make babies with men who are 6 ft 4!!!!!!! My body is simply not long enough to house the things!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

MrsS that is a difficult one but you need to have a think about whether you can actually cope with the pain both physically and mentally until at least your due date? That hopefully will give you an idea of whether it is the right thing to do or not.MrsS.. I'd ask.. if they say no at least you tried.. how would you cope 2 weeks overdue? That is the argument I used last time to get them to induce me. My first two were both 5 days overdue. I had 10 weeks of SPD last time, and begged and pleaded with them to let me go early because of the pain, and the thought of going to term + 5 days was more than I could bare. They said yes in the end (after a huge crying fit in the consultant room).
This time if I was to go to term I would have spent 22 weeks in pain .... not sure they can argue against it when the agreed last time for the same condition, but it's a different consultant (although it is a woman so that might help - bit of womanly sympathy :rotfl:)
The thought of going overdue is torture, as it was last time.
I feel like I've managed pretty well for the last few weeks, but all of a sudden I've taken a very very steep downturn in my pain and ability to function so I'm thinking now that I just need to get the baby out as soon as is safe to do so.
The one difference this time is the rh- antibodies - and whether that will either sway them to do it earlier (less risk of my blood attacking baby and making them anaemic) or whether it will go against me and make them want me to carry to term to prevent complications in the baby .... and until I see them tomorrow and get my levels from the last blood test I guess I don't know what effect that will have.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

MrsS I have no idea how things have moved along in the treatment of the antibody incompatibility as my mum was the only person that I had ever known before to have it but after my brother was born and had so many complications they insisted that all her future deliveries were induced at 38 weeks as back then it was seen as safer but that was a very long time ago unfortunately and may no longer be reliable information.0
