Sorry have been pretty much MIA this week due to training the new girl in work!

Hope I haven't missed too much. Had my 28 week MW appointment (at 29 weeks) and everything is measuring spot on baby is head down so everything seems to be going well at the moment!

Big hugs to anyone in need and labour vibes to the boldies!

What I don't get about the friend situation is all my friends in real life have children of their own too, so it's not like I'm the only one and therefore don't fit in with the 'single lifestyle' or anything. Even my kids' Godmother hasn't bothered to come and visit and she only lives 5 minutes away. Haven't even had a phone call for weeks. I know she'll be expecting to be Godparent again for this one though! It's just upsetting - if I could get out to them I would, but I can't help being stuck in the house. I can't even drive.

Congrats EA. Still a boldie on day 4 now. On the positive side I was bricking it about going in to labour where as now I'd like it to happen to meet the wee one.

Fanta-Im the same , my mum and sister were laughing their heads off , but I will miss not having my bump and having this little wriggling feeling .I will have serious bump envy when I see other pregnant people

MrsS I am fully planning on getting out there and new people after little one arrives as I have had enough of the resentment and other negativity that goes with it. Funny how nobody thought I had it easy while we were all early 20s and I had a husband who worked away so much I was effectively a single parent a lot of the time and I couldnt do the jetting off to far flung locations at the last min or going to parties that lasted all weekend! :rotfl: Only now I am regularly and bitterly told that I have always had it so easy and the best one yet is that I am being insensitive and inconsiderate by having a 3rd child when I have good friends who are struggling for their first. Trouble is I have been in the same social group since school/university so am not entirely sure that I still know how to do it but for my own sanity I need to otherwise I may start taking it personally that my best friend of almost 20 years will no longer talk to me and things are heading that way with several others :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow KM how very dare you? I've had "friends" do the same and to be honest I'm sick of being judged! This little one is going to mark a whole new start for me socially and I can't wait for a fresh start with fresh people. I've had it with toxic "frenemies" lol

:eek: That is really unfair.

I lost touch with my college friends when I had my first baby and got dumped by them and my boyfriend. Back then I was the only one who had a baby, and at 21 I guess they all wanted to protect their own social lives so decided to stick with the group rather than stick by me, their friend They are all still in touch now, so clearly it worked out best for them. Then after years of being a SAHM I didn't really meet anyone new. I did an OU degree so 'met' lots of new friends virtually, and some physically through attending various tutorials and student events. I have more interaction with those 'friends' than anyone in real life and my facebook friends list is nearly all fellow OU students. I even met my now husband through OU I've only been back in work 2 years, but wouldn't say I've made 'friends' at work. Lots of people I now know, but maybe only 1 or 2 I would definitely class as friends, and those are the 2 people I work in a team with.
