Hi all, sorry to hear MrsS about the pain and I do hope you got some sleep. Sounds so frustrating and hope both you and PigPen can get some relief, as well as anyone else in pain.
BCS sounds like a very long appointment but at least it's out of the way, hope you can get some quick and good advice re the c section not affecting your existing surgery.
EA hope to read your birth story soon!
Am travelling tomorrow so tonight is finishing packing, a Chinese take away (Hong Kong style prawns, yummy) and a movie maybe, with an early night...:):)

Good morning everybody hope the sunshine is helping make everybody feel at least a bit better if not good today.
BCS hope all goes well with the doubled up dose of metformin and it achieves the results that you need. Also glad that your little guy is measuring well and I hope that it has made you feel a bit more reassured about everything. One thing though should your docs not be talking to each other as opposed to sending you to ask one so that you can tell the other? Whatever the case though I do hope that you get the answers that you need and that will work well for you.
Sparkle I hope you have a lovely time away with your mum.. Have you remembered comfy shoes?

MrsS do you have any friends nearby that would help with the children at all?
I have very few actual friends (rather than people I know) who I see in real life, and other than the one I mentioned the other day who helps with kids when I have MW appointments in the school holidays, only one of them has bothered with me or the kids the whole time I've been laid up off work (the one who brought all the baby clothes and moses basket round). I have very little support other than my parents and my Gran (and husband of course), and both are going away next week.
koalamummy wrote: »MrsS I take cocodamol before bed at night as it helps me get at least a few hours sleep.....I know it is not ideal but I used to work with addictions services a lot and know that the dose is low enough to have no I'll effects for my baby.
I have codeine on prescription and GP said I can take 60mg 4 times a day if I feel I need it, but I never take that much because I feel uneasy taking it when pregnant. I tend to take no more than 30mg a time. That might be part of the problem.digitalphase wrote: »Congratulations hun! I am jealous - my labour was 23 hours
My first labour was 25 hours ... and she got stuck and had to be helped out with the ventouse thingy ... I'm so pleased I've never had another long labour like that since! Exhausting!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Hope everyone feels a bit better today !! Im all packed for my holidays (apart from my new clothes which should be arriving today-naughty me,lol) Not looking forward to going , but its for OH and the dog. Got a huge lump in my throat last night , have the cot and mobile and everything set up for baby and my aunt gave me my cousins TOMY light projector thing. It puts coloured stars and moons etc on the ceiling and on wee screen and plays the sweetest lullaby. So before we went to bed I switched it on to play to OH , got all emotional , lol.
TMI Alert..... Got dull period type pains , and have had alot of goo like discharge for the last 2 days. No blood or anything , is it just what happens in later pregnancy? I dont feel like im in labour just dull ache in back ... :huh:Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Thanks.
I managed to sleep most of the night, but it was broken sleep in between the agonising turning around episodes. Poor DH must be longing for a night where I don't grab hold of him to help turn myself around. My hips are just as bad today as yesterday so I'm probably going to have another PJ day. Got the dentist this afternoon so I will have to get dressed at some point though.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I'm certainly feeling like that a lot at the moment, and we're only due a couple of days apart. My discharge has increased, but not gooey as such. I seem to remember it is normal to have an increase in the amount of discharge in the last few weeks, and I remember having to wear knicker liners to cope with it in previous pregnancies too.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Morning all
MrsS and Pigpen - hope you both managed some sleep last night, its so miserable being in so much painI've gone right off my physiotherapist after the torture session yesterday, he gave me crutches to help "speed me up"
blah moving isn't the only problem!
BCS - hope they get things sorted for you, it certainly sounds like they're being thorough. I'd echo KM though and get the doctors to talk to each other rather than getting you to do it, it's not like you need the extra pressure!
Sparkle - hope you have a lovely break and your mum enjoys her surprise
Am trying really hard to be cheerful today because it's payday and we were planning to go and get our pram but I'm having major second thoughts about the one we picked and I'm defo not up to test driving pushchairs today so blah to that as well. I did get some sleep last night but had the most horrendous nightmare, one of those that wakes you up and then you go straight back into it when you go back to sleepI'm blaming the codeine for that!
Anyway, sorry to moan (again) but hugs all round, labour vibes to those who want/need them and fingers crossed for a pain free, relaxed happy Friday 13th :eek:xx

The codeine phosphate is absolutely fine honestly As is dihydrocodeine I have seen much of the research on it and although obviously not given out regularly for horrible reasons are both brilliant painkillers if you can tolerate them. Try the recommended dose for a few days and you may be shocked at the difference it makes.
.
I can't have them due to a tolerance issue.....they cause me to hallucinate as do most opoids which is why I only have my low dose before bed.:rotfl:
I am also finding friends are rapidly depleting which has really upset me as tbh I had imagined us all being friends for life but sadly we were a group of women in our 30s and I am the only one with children when they all now want them.0 -
Winnie which pram is it? Maybe somebody here has some experience of it or knows someone who does that can help with any worries that you have?0
