I can't get in our bath already!!! Which means I get to spend the second summer in a row unable to shower or bath.. :(. I just can't lift my leg high enough to get it in.. we have an enamel roll top bath.. it is very beautiful but I wish to the gods we had a cubicle shower!!!!

Do yours not have half term week after next? Mine are off that week.. thankfully due to KH pi$$ing me about he has them both weekends so I only have mon-Fri to contend with them.

I was like that yesterday Mrs S.. just didn't where to put myself, how to sit, where to be in order to make the pain just a fraction better. It isn't as bad as that today but I have done absolutely nothing.. and I just can't do nothing every day!!! not for another 4.5 months!

AND my feet are really swollen!!!

Oh, I need to go wash my hair.. that kills me on a good day!

I have to use the kids' toilet training step to help me get in and out of the bath or shower, with DH holding on to me to steady me, and I have to climb in and out sideways. It's still hard work though. Our shower is over the bath too rather than cubicle.

The kids break up on 27th May for a week - they will be with their dad that weekend Fri-Sun tea time for their usual fortnightly contact. He never has them extra, not even in school holidays :(

Mine don't go extra time either.. he didn't see them at al last half term as he said he was going on holiday then he was seen the Saturday and the Thursday!! So he had in fact lied and not gone anywhere!!

I can't manage it with the step our bath is really really high.. and I need to get 2 feet on the step and it isn't big enough.. I feel like a poor excuse for a human bean.

My right leg is my worst one but unfortunately also the leg that I lead with which caused a few problems to start with. I have an old sheer dress scarf that I always keep rolled up in a pocket or wrapped round a wrist and I loop it behind my right knee and use it to raise my leg up enough....not sure if it would help anybody else but it has been a lifesaver for me. I now have to wear jeans every day though so that I can achieve the same result but more discretely in public. :o

MrsS do you have any friends nearby that would help with the children at all?

Pigpen we have cubicle showers too but I have found that when everything is playing up together they are hard to get in and out of as well. :(

they are.. and I always put my bum or my bump on the cold tiles nad it makes me jump lol.. but it is still better than being unable to feel clean! I was about 3 months unable to shower last summer.. I had to have washes in the bathroom.. i washed everything and everywhere but it is just not as good as a nice clean shower.. :(

Congratulations EA! Hope you and Alfie are doing well.

Really sorry to hear about all the pain doing the rounds. I had a small slice of that this week - a really searing pain just below and to the right of my belly button. It got lots worse after sitting down, to the point where I was walking half bent over every time I stood up from my desk. Thank god it's away, no idea what it was, probably me jinxing myself with my last few comments about being pain-free. So I hope you find something, anything that makes you feel better. Hugs all round x

MrsS I take cocodamol before bed at night as it helps me get at least a few hours sleep.....I know it is not ideal but I used to work with addictions services a lot and know that the dose is low enough to have no I'll effects for my baby. :o

Pigpen can you get referred to occupational therapy as they have lots of things that they could at least lend you for the duration of your pregnancy to maybe make it a bit easier?

Caelshorn hope the pain stays away from now on for you but if it doesn't I think you are in the same rough area as me and maternity physio here is self referral. :)

Not a chance.. it is about a 6 year waiting list... and the paediatric one is worse.. DD4 has been waiting 2 years so far..

Last time the only suggestion I got was go swimming and use their showers.. erm.. yeah that'll work.. how would I get IN or OUT of the pool? I wouldn't go swimming if my life depended on it.. I was asked if I wanted o be admited to hospial so I could use their showers.. I asked them why they thought I would even consider such a ludicrous idea when I was refusing appointments!

I had my first appointment at the AAU Diabetes clinic today & was there for just over 3 hours.

Despite starting Metformin Monday my sugar levels are still too high so they are doubling my dose for a week & if that doesn't work they are going to start me on Insulin.

On the plus side the baby is on the 50th percentile so just perfect, I have another scan in a month as they want to make sure he doesn't suddenly start getting bigger.

The Obstetrican said they won't let me go past 39 weeks & if the baby starts growing too fast they will take him out earlier.

They want me to find out how they can do a C section without messing up my reconstruction plans so I need to get some advice asap.

Sorry to hear some of you ladies are in so much pain atm, it makes me feel guilty for feeling down about my own problems considering what some of you are going through.

((Big gentle hugs)) to everyone that needs one. :A
