This is 3 contact weekends in a row that he has messed me and the kids about .... really starting to wonder why I bothered forking out £500 odd quid last year with a solicitor to try and get things sorted to stop all of this. If I didn't know better, I'd say he was deliberately being awkward to cause trouble for me. My BP just doesn't need it. Nor does my purse
Just had to get DH to buy lunch from the bakers because I had the sudden urge for a pasty and a strawberry tart to calm me down :rotfl:

I know that it won't be any help whatsoever to you ladies but please never forget the one true positive in the situation....the ex part!0

You did it MrsS as you are the better person and were trying to ensure that your children were having their emotional needs met.0

Sadly for the children, you do know better. Sounds like despite whatever effort you make he'll keep messing the children about.
I now think that the time he looses with DS is my gain. I'd never move to stop contact but I'm also not going to bend to his every whim either.
Hope the kids aren't too disappointed xx0 -

Oh yes!!!koalamummy wrote: »You did it MrsS as you are the better person and were trying to ensure that your children were having their emotional needs met.
Hmmmm, well technically he instigated it. He stopped picking the kids up and then a solicitors letter dropped on my door telling me to reinstate contact  I was livid. Went to a solicitor for advice and to get it sorted as his letter was so full of lies it was untrue. It threatened me with court action to gain parental responsibility for his own kids, even though he has it through marriage. He seemingly forgot to tell his solicitor we were ever married and therefore had PR automatically, never mind divorced :rotfl: Idiot. For the pleasure of dealing with solicitors, I had a £500 odd bill to pay as I apparently had too much income for legal aid. He got legal aid and didn't have to pay a penny, and was at the time also refusing to cooperate with the CSA and pay maintenance. Lovely bloke. So yes, definitely a good thing that he is an ex
But yes, I am safe in the knowledge I've never been awkward and have done my best to ensure the kids see him no matter whatOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Your children will always know the effort that you have made on their part and aside from the occasional teenage tantrum episode will always thank you for it and appreciate it. It may feel like you are constantly banging your head off of a brick wall just now but long term it really will serve you well.0

Hope you don't have too long to wait Becky.0

Thanks koalamummy...I hope not too. I haven't had a show or anything but then I didn't with Ruby either. I just got up in the morning to find I'd started bleeding with her & that was the start of a very long labour. I'm praying this one is quick! I am however told that they won't leave me anywhere near as long this time if I'm having problems. Thank goodness! Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
