Yep I am another one for the shoes Pigpen just make sure you grab a comfy central chair. . Also stick an emergency pair of ballet pumps in your handbag just in case

Just back from a lovely meal with friends I haven't seen for a while. Ate too much and I swear my bump has doubled in size!

One of the girls is an anaesthetist (sp?) at the local hospital so shes been told: if I absolutely have to have a CS then she had better be on duty to do it! She told us about an obese woman who has to have her twins evicted at 28wks cos she has some condition which is overfilling her with fluids. Apparently she gets 5 litres drained a week :eek: AND her BMI is 60!! :eek::eek: those poor babies.

Have a fab trip, Sparkle, I bet your mum will be well chuffed to see you! Hope her op goes well!

KM - this makes me giggle, everytime I see you post theres a reason for edit under it of ipad :rotfl:

Havent posted again for a few days as not much to report. Got my 20 week scan next week, does anyone know if I need to have a full bladder like at the 12 week scan?

Flower, I think it's different in different places iyswim. Maybe check your letter? I didn't need a full bladder, but I seem to remember some other people did. If it's not on the letter it might be worth phoning to ask. Good luck with the scan, it's very exciting! Are you going to find out the flavour?

Oh, and welcome killiegirl! Another autumn baby :j

flower.. no you don't .. the full ladder at 12 weeks is purely to lift the uterus out of the pelvic cavity so they can see baby.. by 20 weeks it is out already.. the first thing they ask you to do here is go pee!!! the letters are standard and almost always say have a full bladder but it really isn't necessary.. and makes it damn uncomfy for you if it is!

Note to self : bedroom activity is to be restricted as it causes huge amounts of pain.. which means I hurt twice as much as I did before I took the painkillers!!
