Hope your scan goes well today Elmo!

Well done on your exam Abby - how long until you get the results?

My bloody cat has brought an enormous rat in overnight and gutted it on the dining room floor :( I can't deal with it mostly because I can't bend down but just the sight of it is making me sick :( DH said he'll come home at lunch time and sort it but that means waiting until 1pm and I've got a friend over for coffee at 10.30! Having to keep the dog out because she just wants to eat it and the cat () is sitting looking all smug on the sofa! Wish I could find a way to stop him doing this, he's had the snip but if anything that just made him more aggressive!

Haven't got high hopes for today, I'm miserable and hurting and have got mega fat grumps and the house is a total bombsite which is driving me insane! Argh!!

    *and breeeeeeathe*

Sorry for the rant, but I feel better for getting it off my chest! Hope everyone else is well and bumps are wriggling :)

Well done on your exam Abby - its over now so you can stop worrying about it for a while :j

Congratulations Digital on your new bundle xx

We are in the middle of decorating. Not the nursery, that's done already but the other spare room which needs to be done and finished so all the carp in the nursery can be shifted into it. We bought the funkiest carpet at the weekend and I can't wait till its laid in 2 weeks. Then OH decided we needed new bedroom furniture. Can't really afford it but it was half price from Tesco Direct :money:and will finish the room brilliantly.

Bubs is kicking quite a lot now. I have an anterior placenta too and I hardly felt anything until about 20 weeks but now its much more regular and obvious.

Hope we are all OK today. Who's next on the list?

Morning all. Any tips for how to survive dizzy spell? My tummy is getting a bit big to bend and sit with my head between my knees :o Didnt feel too great in the car this morning and got me thinking, what's the best thing to do?

Twilight- I have 3-6 dizzy periods a day, usually only one serious one. Nothing really can be done for lower blood pressure, but I've always found putting my head forward never worked. Lie back, raise your feet (gets blood back to your heart faster, helps it circulate), and sip water. I close my eyes and keep talking to someone, or counting if I'm alone, and big, deep measured breaths.
Regular light exercise helps, and keep hydrated.

    PELVIC FLOOR LADIES !!!!!

Thought I would take over from Apricot , As you get nearer the end of pregnancy it gets harder to hold in a wee. Not had any accidents yet , lol but can easy see how people think their waters have gone only to find that its wee :o
Going to try and get some RLT capsules before I go away this weekend. We also got a leaflet on the perenium (sp) massage at ante-natal so was thinking I might give it a go. The midwife raved about it
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Hi twi1ight, just to let you know that putting your head lower than your heart is the complete opposite thing you need to be doing (so says my first aid training :)) The best position we're taught is to lie down with your knees up to get the blood to your head and heart. Hope this helps.
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

:mad: Why can I not get DH to realise that he has no money to throw away at the moment :mad:

It's like banging my head against a brick wall. I budget to death, and he just casually turns round and tells me he's agreed to subscribe to something related to his hobby with 3 of his friends. It's *only* £9, but he can't see the fact that it might just as easily have been £90 and we don't have spare £££ at the moment. His answer, it's been a misunderstanding but I'll have to find it from somewhere now

I've got one like that too MrsS - had a large package delivered yesterday, some sort of external harddrive NAS box thing. It was a bargain at £130, he couldn't leave it there (on ebay!) but its ok because he's got stuff he can sell to make the money back. The stuff he's supposed to be selling to pay for the building work on the house.

Wish I had the answer to get him to *think* before he acts, he feels bad now because we can't afford to buy the pram we chose but not bad enough to send the NAS box back or sell it on :(

Start feeding the menfolk beans on toast for dinner.. when they get the idea they don't get nice meals if they spend money of tat it usually works better.. they need something physical and tangible they can see which is why cards and paypal don't work for men! It is like a small chld thinking you can get money out of the cash machine unaware that you have to have money in to start with.. but hitting them in the beer and food dept. usually works!
