Hhhmmm... guess I have yet more internal damage and possibly another anterior placenta then.. I know it is moving.. I can hear it on the doppler flapping about but can't feel a thing most of the time.. I've had one tiny wiggle today, against the very tight waistband of my trousers which is what I usually get. Or I could just be too fat to feel it lol.. .. back to the damage.. the movements pretty much stopped after the sonographer ripped a hole in my muscles and caused the hernia.. hhmmm.. interesting... no doubt in a few weeks when it has moved the hernia out of the way it'll become more noticable again..

My 4th never moved.. I had fortnightly scans and she was growing fine but she never ever moved.. she was the same after she was born, she ate and slept and nothing else for months... maybe this one is like its dad and not particularly loud or energetic....he prefers to sit and read.. this one might be the same (please let it be a quiet one! lol)

Its amazing how many people want to make judgement based on their opinion of your bump. Mine is measuring at about 85% on the fundal height chart so not a small baby and yet everyone keeps telling me what a small baby it its/what a tidy bump. Personally I would prefer to be bigger as the last one I carried bigger (more out to the sides / less football like) and I was nowhere near as uncomfortable as this one where every baby movement hurts.

pigpen, will they be able to tell if you have an ant placenta on your next scan? I know your scan is unfortunately a lot later than it should be.

But at least your dopper is picking up the little one's dance moves!

Pigpen don't count on their current tranquility continuing ;). My little guy barely moved throughout the entire pregnancy to the point where there was great concern regarding his wellbeing. He was delivered early and I was warned that he probably would not cry due to gestation.....but he came out screaming the place down and didn't stop until he was a year old and had fully mastered walking! :rotfl: he has never stopped moving either even in his sleep! :o

And my oldest boy who was constantly overactive night and day whilst in utero turned out to be the most calm relaxed and tranquil child that there has probably ever been! :D. :rotfl:

Yes they put it on the report.. I've had 3 with anterior placentas so far so a 4th will be about right.

My 4th that never moved was 6 weeks early.. and she was born and just laid there.. she never cried or moved or anything.. just laid there.. asleep!!!! She was breathing fine. She was 5 months old before she cried.. She is nearly 14 and still not very active!

Mine have been pretty much the same after birth as before.. down to Squeaks incessant hiccups!

Pigpen maybe they have also damaged some nerve endings with their butchery of your stomach? Just seems very weird that you stopped feeling movement at the same time as the hernia developed. I remember you saying when we were about 8 weeks that you could feel something so it doesn't sound to me like you're fat :p! All the same, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a quiet little man ;)

Sorry if its a daft question but is anterior placenta when the placenta is at the front?

Yes, placenta on the front.. posterior is the back.

They did massive damage when I had DD3 and I need to go for reconstructive surgery.. but couldn't as Squeak happened.. I'll be unable to do anything for up to 4 months after the surgery so it isn't practical with a young baby..

and I am fat too.. lol.. about 3 stone extra fat!

A lovely quiet placid little man just like daddy would make us all very happy.. apart from DS3 who won't be my 'baby boy' any more .. but he is 12..

Aww I had to give my 10 year old "baby boy" some reassurance the other day... he's been very used to having me all to himself especially after his dad left. He didn't really mind when I met DH (mainly because DH came complete with Xbox I suspect lol) but I think its dawning on him that when Bob arrives he's gonna have to share mummy...

Hello ladies , sneaking on here whilst my replacement is away to some training. Apricot its a similar setup here , really small office and we are pretty quiet just now , so its been like getting blood from a stone training this girl. I dread to think what Im coming back too. She doesnt drink hot drinks either so cant fill the day with tea breaks, lol Tried to stress that we are NEVER normally this quiet and that at times she wont even get a lunch break but its falling on deaf ears.
Got all the furniture up.Three sets of drawers for bubs , got cot and mattress and OH has built it all. All the baby clothes we have bought so far are washed ( thanks to my mum ) and put in drawers in size order lol.
Going on holiday this coming weekend but when I come back bag will be getting packed(mine and bubs for hospital). Seems so strange seeing the cot all ready for baby. Am I right in thinking that you arent supposed to put cot bumpers or duvets on untill bubs is over 12 months ? We just have mattress , mattress topper , fitted sheet and a cellular blanket?
Hope everyone is well and congrats to all new mummies , and big congrats to Lirin on finding out you are having twins !!!! How exciting!!!
