Keith sounds like you had bit of a useless midwife.. they would normally wrap and rub until the resus arrived.. DS2 took 20 minutes+ to breath, he had a cardiac arrest as he was delivered that was just awful, they were on the verge of calling it (they try resus with newborns longer than older patients as they can survive longer without significant brain damage due to being very oxygenated in utero) and the paed was saying over and over 'come on baby breathe' it was possibly the worst minutes of my life. It does feel like forever.. :( Glad all is well now though and hope they are both recovered very soon. The good thing is.. the baby doesn't remember any of the needles or pain or interevention.. thankfully!

could the next list updater please change Noahs weight (not sure if it was just a slip of the fingers.... sorry if it was my post that they had slipped on).... he was 6lb 3... not 6lb 13 - i think i may have felt that rather more giving birth on just 1 co-codimal :D

i am now being ribbed cronically about how large my 'bits' must be to have managed it.... fact is i actually am still in shock and not entirly convinced the whole thing wasn't a dream (or nightmare).

lol..... and he snores..... well squeaks!!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

I am muchly jealous of all the beautiful babies being born. :D

Still no signs. I am getting bored now. :(

Ooh forgot to ask earlier as its not PGT related but you guys are a wealth of knowledge! has anyone ever heard of Reynauds? A friend from work has just been told she has it, I've googled it and a bit unsure what to say to her? I dont know anything about it an don't want to upset her?

Vroom -that is the one where the fingers/toes go blue isn't it? One of my best friends at uni had it, didn't seem to bother her too much she just got cold easily.

Just remember to make sure that you have had the heating switched on for a bit before she visits or make sure you have a spare long sleeved cardi that will fit her in your car/baby bag whenever you have arranged to meet her and you will soon be classed as the best friend ever as she will be particularly susceptible to cold and changes in temp. :)

it is a disorder of the circulation so she'll have cold hands and possibly feet too.. totes leather gloves with microfleece linings are the best in the world.. £15-£20 a pair Boots have them often on their 3-4-2 in winter.. but worth every penny! If she doesn't keep warm she is at risk of losing circulation altogether and having fingers and toes amputated.

It won't upset her.. it is pretty minor in the broad scheme of things.. my mother has had it years.

Have been timing pains for last hour and a half ish and they are coming every 6-8 mins so starting to think really might be something. If they get down to 5 mins will ring hospital and see what they say.
