Alwayspuzzled don't worry too much about what she said everything will be fine. :D. Even if your little one comes early 34 weeks will be really well developed and should be fine if a little small. :D.

Just sit down and take a deep breath and have an ice cream or some chocolate or something you like and try and calm down a bit. :). What happened with the midwife to upset you?

Nothing that doesn't usually. They are supposed to have sent a physio referral 5 weeks ago and haven't, they should have booked a rescan for nuchal and dating and didn't, they got all uppity when I said I didn't want to waste the consultants time with an appointment I don't need and she proceeded to tell me this is a 'high risk pregnancy' Which I totaly disagree with.. there have never been complications associated with the number of pregnancies I've had only issues which I had with most of them to varying degrees.. they don't have crystal balls and given how few people have this many pregnancies they don't have sufficient data to conclude it is any more risky than my first.. I have no idea why they start harping on about PPH when most people who have them it is their first!!! the most blood I lost was with DD4 when my bowel was perforated.. which they did!!! It wasn't to do with the pregnancy it was their incompetance..

They moaned I hadn't made an appointment for the bloods doing at 16 weeks and nagged because they want me to have bloods done every 4 weeks because I have anti-c antibodies which can cause anaemia, jaundice or death of the baby.. but they aren't at a level anywhere near worth being concerned about so I said no.. and the community MW (who I shall be giving earache about the lack of physio referral!!) has already spoken to me about the bloods so I won't be needing a hospital appointment for them anyway..

She liked it even less when I said I don't want to see a consultant because they don't listen when you tell them what is wrong, they lie to you and don't do what they have agreed to and I am not upsetting myself or allowing them to upset me. If I become unwell I shall see my GP or ring to speak to someone.. I added in my head 'but don't hold your breath'.. When I had Squeak everyone and their dog wanted a urine sample and it took me the best part of 24 hours to half fill one of those little pots they send for infection.. and it looked more like a blood sample than urine!

Apparently the consultant had put in my notes he personally wanted to see me.. I felt like royalty!!! lol I did say I do not have issue with that particular consultant, in fact I think he is very nice, I just don't want to waste anyones time with pointless appointments... I have enough to do without those thrown in.

See.. now you wish you'd not asked!

Oh my goodness I want to moan!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really need a dose of 'get a grip' :(:(

Ooooooh me too! Lets have a group moan, sometimes I think it all just gets too much and its got to come out somewhere :rotfl:

My major gripe today is having really struggled to get thru the day at work OH was moaning at me that I should have phoned in and told them I'm quitting now instead of in 2 wks when he knows that we can't afford to do without the 2 wks wages and now he's gone to the pub leaving me with a overtired stroppy 4 year old dd to put to bed. Think I might convince ds2 to read her story because I'm really struggling at the mo.

By all means rant. :D. You need to be able to keep calm for both of your sakes. :). The antibody situ I know a bit about as my mum had the same condition which only ever caused problems with one of her pregnancies where it very nearly killed both her and my brother.....he ended up having a complete blood transfusion to save him but it was a long hard battle to keep them both alive resulting in a 4 year gap between my brother and me her next child. Your care team don't sound brilliant though as there are always ways of wording what you say when you are trying to do the best for your patient. :(. Are you maybe considered high risk as you had a c section with your last delivery as I was told that I would always be considered a higher risk due to c section delivery?

Oh my goodness I want to moan!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm right off on one today.. MW pee'd me off at lunchtime and I've been like a starved bear with a wasps nest up it's bum ever since!!!

My back and hips are killing me.. and I was actually looking forward to the physio appt in the next couple of weeks now there isn't going to be one and I am so fed up and cross and upset.

I took it out on the wash basket and the girls (they weren't beaten I made them do some tidying in their room!) and vacuumed which just made things 10 times more painful.. I had a nap and woke up feeling even more grumpified!!

I really need a dose of 'get a grip' :(:(

Noooo!!! Can you get one of the older children to vacuum? That is one of the things I was specifically told not to do. No wonder you're hurting. I know it's easier said than done to 'take it easy' when you have other children at home, but you really must or your SPD is going to have you crippled!

I can understand the upset at no physio referral - I felt the same when it took so long for mine to come through. My referral never actually got there and I had to have a duplicate hand delivered to the physio unit. It's just not what you need is it, when you're suffering?

Oh not worried, just paranoid now that its going to be early and I'm not ready - sister still has her baby in the family crib, pushchair and carseat still in the loft and not cleaned, baby clothes not washed, still got 2 wks at work etc etc all minor stuff on the grand scale.

Not even really worried about the weight as FH is at 80% in the centile chart so I reckon its about 6lbs already. DS1 was 7lb 13oz at 37wks, DS2 was 9lb 6oz on his due date, DD was my little baby at 7lb 6oz at 39wks.

I've been told not to vacuum, not to pick up anything.. including the baby who is 8 months old!!! not to walk too far not to do anything which requires bending or stretching.

But if I don't do it it simply won't get done.

Vacuuming had to be done as the baby had spread iced finger all over the floor.. and I kind of got carried away.

House is being gutted over the easter holidays children home so I will be cracking the whip!

I completely sympathise. When I was suffering in my last pregnancy, my then husband worked shifts. When he was on nights there was only me in the house, so if the little one needed a bath or nappy change, there was only me to do it, so I just had to get on with it. The medical professionals just don't think about the reality of having to live day to day with SPD when you have other children.

One thing I've got my kids doing is helping with the laundry. My youngest (5) likes to pull all the washing out of the washing machine and reload it. That saves me bending down and pulling and tugging at it. He then pushes the basket down to the tumble drier and likes to put everything in there. Now the weather is improving, I get the eldest to carry the wash basket outside and place it on the patio table. I can then reach the basket and peg the washing out without too much effort.

I asked OH and DS1 to carry 2 baskets outside for me the other day.. after 3 hours I lifted one of them myself.. then got called in to see to the baby so it stayed out there for 2 days.. in the basket.. and the second basket is sill on the kitchen floor.. I have rewashed boths lots today.

I pee's me off that they complain if I struggle to do stuff myself but when I ask them to help they don't do it for hours if ever.. I asked OH to bring a full laundry basket down for me at 7 o'clock.. he has been up 3 times to the loo and to turn off lights and it is still up there. I wanted him to come to the physio appointment so he could be there when they said don't do this, this and this.. he couldn't pretend he didn't know then!

Mine are at school or after school activities so aren't home to do stuff usually.. which is why we are having a house blitz now. I have had my 2 y/o GS emptying and refilling washing machines lol OH loads the dishwasher and feeds the cats and he cleaned out the rabbits the other day... so he doesn't do nothing but I need help with so much more at the moment.. I am finding I get really stiff if I am sitting for a while and it takes a while to get moving again.. it really is starting up again isn't it?! :(

They are waiting until half past to start pushing.

Amelia Grace finally emerged at 20:27 at 8lb 8oz and after the longest 2 1/2 minutes with the doctor we were finally able to hold our daughter.

    026.jpg

Two alarms had been sounded at the same time so we were then told that our daughter would be spending the next 48 hours in neonatal, before we were told that due to the clash of alarms we had the others notes!

Not happy with the way things went around 15 minutes following birth, as the midwife who had taken over at 6 suddenly clocked off and left Nic sat without her stitches done, nor cleaned up the room or even weighed the baby and went home. It was nearly 9.45 before someone arrived to help her breast feed, stitch her, etc. Despite me going looking for our midwife.

I'm at home now as shes staying in at least tonight, and Nic is still sat in the labour ward with the final midwife who is completing the forms.
