Thanks Bella, yes I am rhesus negative, didn't think about that so thanks for reminding me!

Did anyone watch the programme on breastfeeding on bbc3? Was quite interesting but a bit scary as well. There was a young girl who did brilliantly after being in loads of pain first few weeks and kept at it.
  • Lol have just written on the "Less than 12 week" thread and shocked myself at reading Im 27 weeks pregnant! I remember when I was first posting! This is going to be over so fast at this rate!!! lol

So tired today. I slept a couple hours longer this morning, had a nap at teatime and now Im tired again. Hope I can sleep though as I have work tomorrow. Husband on nightshift so just me and the dogs, hate nightshift :(

Hope everyone and their bumps are well x

    Hi Supermaiden. :D

My OH is away with work just now and I am here with the children so I understand how you are feeling. But at least yours will be back in the morning which is only a few hours from now. :D

Morning ladies and bumps! Hope you're all well!

Well today is the day I get induced and although I'm over the moon to be finally meeting my baby I've had an awful nights sleep worrying about what's going to happen. I know the midwife said because of my pelvic arch (I think that's what she said) and getting induced it'll be more painful but seeing as this is my first baby I don't know what 'normal' pain is! I'm slightly freaked out and spent the past day feeling very weepy and a bit scared. My mam and sister both rang me last night and all I did was cry down the phone to them whilst they reassured me that I'll be ok and it's perfectly normal to feel like this. I think it's just the fear of not knowing what to expect and all I keep thinking is that I'm going to embarrass myself! What if I poo?! Argh!

Anyway, mini moan over. I'm not usually a wuss but I think everything has just hit me all at once. I can't settle down and just want to go to hospital now instead of waiting until later!

Big hugs to you! please try not to worry, when I was due to be induced I got myself in such a state about how horrendous it was going to be how I wouldnt cope with the pain etc I was crying and told oh I didnt want the baby anymore :rotfl:bit late to be deciding that!!!

Just go in as relaxed as you can be and take things as they come, they can manage your pain to the point where you can hardly feel it (epidural! highly recommended ;)) as soon as I had pushed LO out I said to OH, "I could do that again!" lol I actually quite enjoyed labour haha

Take care we are all thinking of you your gonna do great!!!! :T

Alfalfa just wanted to wish you well for your induction and birth...hope it is all as straight forward and painless as possible for you. :)

As for anything that happens during delivery I can honestly say that whatever happens it will be nothing that hasn't happened hundreds of times before. I am a nurse by trade and I have a few friends who have gone on to retrain as midwives and we all agree that although we do take our jobs very seriously a lot of what goes on barely even registers with us as it is just so normal. :)

If you are worried about anything just talk to the staff about it and make sure they give you an explanation you are happy with.

It will all go great today and by this time tomorrow you will be a mummy holding your beautiful baby in your arms and it will all have been so worth it! :D

Aww Alfalfa all the very best for today, yes you are going to be nervous, it's the fear of the unknown hun but just trust your body, it knows what it's doing. It is difficult at the time but just try and think of the end result after all the pain, it is soooo worth it.

I was worried about doing a poo too LOL (I didn't as I had lots of sickness and diawoowoo beforehand) but I imagine most women do poo in labour and they don't even know about it , the midwifes probably expect it tbh and are very discreet.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes, and of course a piccy of another new baby. Take care xx
