    Afternoon everyone,

I have finally decided to make the leap from the 'less than 12 weeks' thread! Had my 12 week scan last Thursday and I am now 12+6 (although it still doesnt seem real!)

EDD is 4th October - cant wait :D

Hoping I can pick up some advice along the way as I have no idea what to be expecting at the minute!

i'm backkk (no not been there all till 12, then had a stop at tesco, subway and the park for DS to run around).

weewee was fine today....... so glad i carried over a ltr of it in for them to decide that!! still wasn't actually allowed to see consultant face to face (i'm not sure she exists TBH :rotfl:). all fine with bubs.... stupid liver scan radiographer hadn't put any notes anywhere on system or in my file after my appt so it was a good job there was nothing wrong.

they still working on a 38w induction.... however todays conversation went: "we're working on 38w delivery tho unsure if it'll be induction or what as yet"..... do u think this means more liklihood of a c-sect?? (i have a hunch - tho they not said anything - that they are slightly concerned about DS2's heartbeat. they did the trace - looked at it once criteria was met and said "umm we'll just leave you on a bit longer"...... when they took me off another m/wife looked and said "ohh it was obviously just a .... **mumbled words**". would you therefore think it was possibly a mild contraction/ BH and it dipped????

    hey ho am rambling now....

g4h get bouncing!! it would be very very brave to let DH get the bag/bits. even with DS i had a 'spares' bag ready so if i had to stay in hosp he could bring that in as i didn't trust him not to get knickers 3 sizes too small or 18-24m baby grows. must remember to finish packing them really.

waterbaby - i loveee that birth story. men have noo idea on urgency - we had half hour to get him and DS dressed/ a 'keep DS occupied fun and food pack/f and out the house to hospital this morning..... he spent 15 mins ironing his and DS' s clothes.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Hi grateful - regarding induction, midwife said they will start me off & hubby has to leave as men don't stay on the ward, is that right? if not i am going to put my foot down and insist he stays as he is starting to worry about not being there now poor thing.

I had the pessaries the evening before which are used to soften you up and get you ready They sent DH home I was up all night with mild contractions just pacing and watching tv. He was told to come back at 10am for me going to delivery suite for the drip but they rang him at 8am to come back as I was starting to contract from 6am and they were putting me on the drip early.

  • bella I totally do not want to still be haunting you all. Princess is quiet, maybe she beat me to it?

Your kidding aren't you! nothing doing here not a BH or twinge in sight and plug still intact.

GFH - I can't believe you and PC are still here!!!!!!! Obv an EDD of 24/03/11 is jinxed lol. Sending you both loads of labour vibes.

I can :( I think we need nuclear force labour vibes.

My induction is booked for 8pm so maybe that's why we have been told he can't stay, might be different if it was daytime who knows, update today midwife not long left the house, finally managed to do a sweep must admit it was quite uncomfortable, feel a bit drained from it now so going to put my feet up for an hour or two & hope that it works!! all the best to everyone.

Sounds like you are getting pessaries the night before did MW tell you your cervix wasn't very favourable?
