Not sure if I have updated after my GTT lol. It came back fine
so that is good! Glad I dont have to go through it again!
With regards to my tonsilitis I think it has cleared uphave a few more tablets to take but feeling normal now!
Ive been having some back/hip pain the last few days. Slept in our uncomfy bed on Tuesday and it has hurt since. Work didnt help because I had to lean to clean things and back was hurting quite a bit and then theres going up the stairs which I now take slowly! A colleague ran up 1 flight and caught up with me on the 2nd and walked slow next to me so I got to the top firstsaid he couldnt run past a pregnant woman on the stairs! :rotfl:
I saw something on TV about a Tesco sale or something like that on baby stuff! I know Sainsburys have a 1/3 off baby items. Not sure where is the best place to buy nappies lol I should probably start now! I saw Lansinoh(sp?) in Sains for £6 odd. Is that the cheapest, anyone know?
Congratulations waterbaby!:j0 -

Went to Post Office to collect a parcel today and received the electric breast pump from Nuby; complete with breast pads, two bottles and spare parts! I can't believe they are sending these out for posting a scan pic!:T
Hope everyone gets theirs too!
PC - Sorry to hear they wouldn't give you a sweep. Hope things start happening soon.
Hope we have some birth announcements this weekend! x0 -
Morning ladies, not had chance to read back, but have seen that waterway has given birth, congratulations and look forward to your birth story
Someone asked a couple of weeks ago, what they thought was an important purchase that they couldn't live without for their baby. For me, after a week of a newborn, it would be my swaddle blanket. It was used all the time for the 1st 48 hours and is now used at night time. Henry feels secure when he's snuggled in it and after he wakes for his night feeds, he goes straight back to sleep
My brother is a photographer and has done a gorgeous pic of Henry, so I want to add it here later (if you don't mind).
Good luck and labour vibes to the boldies, hope we have some more births on here soon
Xx:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Morning everyone,
I am awake nice and early as I am a bit excited as having my baby shower/party today yay. I have made it more of a party thing rather than about presents. Can't wait to see all my friends and my Mum. I am going to get my hair cut at nine and then need to get sorting food and games out.
Jojo - would be lovely to see a pic of Henry!
mrsspendalot - lovely scan photos!
Supermaiden - that Lisonoh sounds cheap to me, I paid over a tenner I think. When asda do their baby events the nappies are pretty cheap, look out for vouchers you can use for them too.0 -

:Dwelll done!!everyones getting electric ones
tho i'm not sure i could cope with the force of one of them... that and we are a "tommee tippee" family so wouldn;t actually use nuby bottles as have all the stage teats for TT stuff from DS1 and went on a bit of a TT spending spree in mothercare the other day to replace things (i.e. our large microwave steraliser had a broken lid and we needed more pots for the milk (THESE are FAB if anyone is using TT stuff for formula feeding an absolute must have)
plus we got 3 free small bottles with our steraliser (if you got the electric one it was 6 large bottles free).
linky to offer here. not saying its the cheapest place but it was convienient for us.
enjoy your party Wendz... i've never had a shower (baby that is).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I have never used an electric breast pump before, so we shall see how I cope with the force! I used the avent hand pump last time, so still have a few left. DS was fed expressed milk from both Avent and TT bottles last time, so will try doing the same again, but with Nuby and Avent this time (as have a mixture of both now!).0

:T Had a call, my GTT test was normal whoop whoop, big
to my midwife who says high BMI at every visit! Not bad for a fat old bird
Next time she says it, ask her sweetly if she really thinks it is helpful to you for her to do that on every visit. I would be walking out.Princess_Coupon wrote: »It didn't:( my cervix is too high, too long, too firm, and completely closed so she couldn't do it:(:(
Well it would have been agony had she tried, if that's any consolation, then.
Apparently mine was 2cm (normal for subsequent pregs) and soft, so going the right way.
Had a bit of a show, also normal, but still no action!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Sorry ladies, am I being dense? When I click on the FB link for the Nuby comp I get a page that says the page doesn't exist anymore. So I searched for Nuby, and all I find is a retail page for India... I just assumed the comp was no longer open.
Don't mean to sound stingy, but a free pump would be very handy. Could someone PM me the link again, or let me know what terms to search for on FB? Many thanks!0
