    Afternoon ladies and bumps
Nic – sounds like it is the best choice for you if that is how you feel, no point worrying yourself
Lablover - Good list, I think I have pretty much all the essential stuff woo.
I am off work this afternoon as have my 36 week midwife appointment. Also gives me a chance to do some cleaning before my visitors this weekend. Only 6 more days at work! I think I am going to be emotional on my last day, already said bye too one of my colleagues who was going on holiday and won't be there when I leave and felt emotional doing that lol.

If it helps.. within 24 hours of her being born it was pretty much gone!
My SPD cleared up within a very short space of time after birth too

I am really, really hoping it will be the same for me! :) I am nervous about labour, but not as scared as I thought I'd be, as I'm in so much pain already I feel I can cope with it better IYKWIM.

It's such a beautiful day today. Managed to get a small load of washing on the line - achievement of the day :o Been reading reviews on baby monitors for most of the afternoon. The battery on laptop needs recharging so I'll pop it on charge while I have my shower I think. Hopefully will still be nice afterwards so I can come back out

GFH - What happened to your twinges?? Have you lost your plug yet? x

Twinges are back and a little more organised, no sign of plug, but nor was there last time until I was too stoned on G and A to notice.

Well done for b/f and you will get to a stage when it's easy and you don't think about it, you will be so glad you don't have to faff about with bottles. Eat and drink plenty and rest if you can.:T
I read that breastfeeding can induce the placenta to be delivered a bit sooner, as it sends a signal to your body. So I think that's another plus for BF.

That's how I delivered placenta last time, the hormone is oxytocin I think. Afterpains for me were worse with #2 but if you have already had 3 MrsS then they can't get any worse I'm sure.
Then he was quite scary and said that i have to try to put as little weight on as possible (am only just 87kilos at 15+4 and im 5'8) BMI at booking was 25 so not too bad!

Just be sensible as much as you can and try to keep some exercise going as long as possible. My BMI is much worse, but I am scary so they no longer dare to do that with me:rotfl:

Managed a pedicure and lunch at parents. Playing dodge the midwife as she has rung up to pester me;)

  • BBM has been poorly, and little Alfred is struggling to gain weight, so worrying times still for them both :( He needs to get big and strong and at least re-gain up to his birth weight to avoid some invasive surgery. Dread to think how hard it must be for BBM :(

Thanks for the update mrsspendalot - I hope he can regain his weight - I can't imagine how worrying it must be for BBM x

I can't do crutches as i have RSI in my wrists and arthritis in my hands..

I cant do crutches because i'd probably break my leg trying to use them :rotfl:

Have MW tomorrow, i might even take Lily to be weighed at the HV clinic before the MW clinic starts. She doesn't eat much so i doubt she's put on much weight.

Sending my love to BBM and Alfred :)

I'll see if my friend still has her old one. You should have said it didn't come instead of suffering on

  • M/w caught me and is coming tomorrow. She has offered me a sweep which I will probably accept if nothing doing before tomorrow.
