Hi ladies
I have spent the last few days trawling through your posts and would love to join what seems like a fab thread.
I am 25 + 5 at the moment, with a baby boy due on 1st of July - it's now all starting to seem a bit more real!!0 -

Talking about belly buttons, mine is very stretched but not an outy.
I am having a chill out evening and watching tv as OH is out tonight. I need to do lots of cleaning tomorrow as have friends coming for the weekend and lots of people coming sat for my baby shower. Thankfully have tomorrow afternoon off for midwife appointment.0 -

My update on the appointment with consultant today - got off to a bad start as we had to wait an hour and half in the hospital in a boiling hot room packed out with loads of people standing, was lucky we got there earlier as me & hubby got a seat. wasn't until about most of the wait when a nurse came up & said have'nt you gone in yet when I started looking at the table where they were putting the hospital notes book on for the consultant to pick up that we realised that instead of the later peoples' books being put at the bottom of the pile that the dozy lady was just putting them on top so it was all back to front, between the heat and the nerves of waiting my temper reached boiling point. Not only that the consultant I was supposed who is really nice had someone else later than me in first and I ended up seeing 2 po faced consultants in another room who couldn't give two hoots about me. They booked me in for an induction for next wednesday, no mention of the sweep I was supposed to be offered today, so I mentioned the midwife would be prepared to come to the house to do one, they said phone her if I wanted, they just weren't bothered. So as soon as we went to the car i phoned midwife & she said she will come out tomorrow & do one & then see about doing another on monday - she was wonderful just the tonic i needed after such a carp appointment. A very disappointing day so i've just treated myself to a very hot curry & a glass of wine0

How annoying my1stbaby! Can't believe they were putting the notes in the wrong order! At least the midwife seems to be a bit better than the consultants. Think you deserve the curry and wine.0

Had MW today. She kept me waiting again, so I could barely breathe by the time I went in there. The waiting room was so stuffy.
Anyway, blood pressure fine, baby's heartbeat 150pbm, bloods came back as fine, urine fine, bubs still head down and what I thought was his bum - is! He kicked her a couple of times when she was fiddling with me :rotfl:Measuring 35.5cm I think, her writing is awful :rotfl: So he has grown a fair amount in the 3 weeks since my last appointment.
I asked about possible early induction due to my SPD and she said I could speak to a consultant in 4 weeks time about it. I could still use TENS and then labour in water. Will have my first antenatal before my next visit to her, and apparently we will discuss birthing options then.
I have won a brand new Elle TENS on eBay, as couldn't be bothered faffing with hiring one. I can put it back on there after and should get most of my money back. It's got brand new electrodes etc so I don't need to buy anything else. I want this for my first stage while I am dilating enough before getting in the water.0 -
Morning bumpies
Hope you get that early induction Digi, even a week early would save you being in pain any longer.
I'm 35 weeks today. I had thd mw coming around this afternoon to talk about a home birth. But I'm going to cancel her. After 2 days of thinking and talking with my OH, I've decided not to have a hb.
The closer it gets the more fears I got.
I also had an issue that I need childcare, so my mum is coming to stay the week before my DD then my inlaws are staying from 1 day after my DD for the long weekend. I was getting stressed about giving birth with them in the house. At least now I have a plan and can head off to hospital.
There's a few other reasons too. I feel a bit of a wimp changing my mind after being really up for it
Hope everyone has a good day. Labour vibes to GFH and PC and all the other boldies.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
