Haha my bellybutton is odd too. It hasn't popped yet, but looking to be close. Mine is normally pretty deep, but it has flattened right out and I don't like it at the moment :rotfl:

My belly button is flattening out and is grossing me out, I hope it doesn't pop. One of the pregnancy apps on OH's iphone said that this was your chance to start cleaning out some of the gunk that's been collecting in there since birth - eeeewwww :rotfl:
I don't like belly buttons and am dreading the baby's cord dropping off *shudder*

Apart from stuffing my face with junk food, I've no real cravings. But put a nice fresh salad in front of me and I'm in absolute heaven atm!!

That was the only thing that made me squeamish, luckily it didn't bother DH!

  • It's interesting to read that they say babies born at 24 weeks have only a 2% survival rate, and that is often with severe disabilities. However we are led to believe the chances are better as we are considered 'viable' at 24 weeks :(

I must admit that program last week about babies born at 23 weeks was an eye opener. What an awful choice to have to make.

Think the article applies the 2% survival rate to babies born before 24 weeks - think after 24 weeks the chances are a fair bit higher thus 24 weeks being viability.
That extra week seems to make a real difference.

A friend of mine delivered her twins at 28 weeks - they were in special care for quite a while but she was telling me that every week in the womb makes a real difference.

    All very scary!
  • Back on the subject of belly buttons - mine is flat as a pancake at the minute but I reckon my belly button was the only thing that didn't fully recover and go back to normal after 2 kids.

It has never been quite the same - looks more stretched and droopy even with a flat tum :(

I've got tummy ache :( It feels a bit like period pain .... it's not making my bump go hard so I don't think it's braxton hicks or anything. I'm wondering if it is coming from my SPD .... I've got the midwife in the morning so can mention it then if it hasn't gone .... but I've never had this feeling before and I don't like tummy ache when pregnant, it always makes you worry, doesn't it :(

Hope it goes away - could it be something you've eaten or wind type pains?

No, it's a dull period pain type ache. I have had some braxton hicks earlier today, but I've been getting them for weeks. This is just there, not coming and going like braxtons do. It could be pain from my pelvis as I cleaned the bathroom earlier, and the minute I do anything I seem to suffer. BUT I've not had this type of pain before from SPD. I might go and have a lay down and see if it passes. Baby is kicking away so I'm not concerned about him x

  • I'm having trouble getting around today, best I can manage is a slow waddle, maybe I've done more than normal. DH will be going into his probate interview now, so at least he will have got that done without interruption.
