I just read it out of interest but didnt feel I had anything useful to add. Have some spare bed pillows so will buy some spare cases in a different colours.Baby is having a rave inside tum today , you can see it move through my top (wearing a tight top with floaty waterfall wastecoat over it and scarf) for some reason I keep covering my bump up. Dont feel confident enough to just wear tight top.
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

I wore a tight top for the first time on the weekend Lablover but I could see my own bellybutton through it & that grossed me out a bit!
My belly button looks really weird atm - it's not become an outie but it seems to have shrunk and turned more into a winking eye shape!

My belly button is like a sad face , lol Dont think mine will pop out , have a very deep belly botton. The tight tops I bought are v.nice and good quality (h+m maternity wear ) but so far i keep layering myself up.I think maybe its because Ive still got a bit to go and the "ooo youre bump is tiny/huge/odd/sitting low/sitting high " comments are peeing me off and I dont think I can deal with a daily bump chat for the next three months , lol

I brought a plain black bump band from Mamas and Papas weekend before last and I'm quite impressed with it - I am wearing a tight jersey summer top from Coast today (would be too short if it wasn't for the bump band) - I feel quite summery :)

Belly button wise I no longer have one ;)

lol! - a lady at work prodded my bump yesterday - it hurt! - really annoying!
The kids have taken to prodding to get her to kick back - they were taking it in turns to 'have a go' last night until I called a halt to the game.
She is getting dead strong and her movements are often quite sharp - ouch! - I've a feeling she will be getting her own back on DS and DD for prodding her once she's born!;)

Lab/gal.. I'd have prodded her back and threatened to break her fingers if she did it again.. my children and OH get to feel by invitation only.. I hate people thinking they can touch.. that included mil and sil too

Pigpen-it was gbabys work mate that touched her bump. All of my work mates have been warned not to come near it , lol. It was my pillock of an OH who played poke the baby for about half an hour till I told him to get lost.

Hi everyone, well due date came and went - sun20th - and nothing!! just a quick question if anyone can help me - I have an appointment at antenatal tomorrow as I am now overdue by 3 days and the appointment was booked months ago, last time I saw the midwife she said that I would be offered a sweep with the consultant and to take it - I don't mind as I have had enough now, ramble over- anyway question is - do I put hospital bag in the car just in case or do sweeps take a while to work, would hate to be caught with nothing if a sweep works fast, anyone with previous experience of sweeps?

I had a sweep with my DD at 40+4 and it started things off some 6 hours later. Mind you, at that stage, I think we had our hospital case with us just on standby and left it in the car until we needed it.

Hope it works but we were told it only has a 1 in 8 chance of starting things off.

Ew I hate this too - my auntie did it a few weeks ago but at the time I didn't even have a bump so found that very weird. I don't think Ill mind if people ask but hate the idea of people just poking me - I think Ill poke them back if they try!:rotfl:
