  • Pains eventually subsided last night about half eleven. They are back today but nothing I can't cope with at the moment. I'm hoping i've rested up enough to just get on with finishing the week. Another 3 weeks of work left after this week and i'd really like to see the back of it.

Thanks for all the support guys xx :)

Morning ladies , lovely day here , sun has got its hat on. Just been reading VB's breastfeeding V bottle fedding thread. In the last page someone mentioned that nipple size could be a problem? Hadnt heard of this ? ...... My nipples were big before I got pregnant and now seem to have gotten bigger? I dont mean the coloured bit cause I know this gets darker and bigger but the actual nipple :oWill this be a problem? Sorry for a TMI post as early
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Unless you have a very small baby (like less than 4lb) it'll be fine.

After 13+ years of breastfeeding my nips are possibly about the size of fruit pastilles.. no I am absolutey not joking.. have a pic somewhere of a fruit pastille on my boob.. and I have never had issues other than with 3lb 10 DS3... even the 4lbers were fine.

Pigpen Im glad you used fruit pastel as a size guide because thats what I was going to do , lol then I thought what if I put you ladies off sweets for the rest of your lifes. Before I was pregnant they were just bigger than a jelly tot , now with all the hormones etc they are around the size of a fruit pastel. Just had slight visions of MW gasping when I whipped them out and being told I may suffocate child.

LOL... I think that poster was being a bit stupid TBH and making stuff up.. it is impossible to suffocate a baby while feeding them.. their nostrils are shaped so that can't happen.. apart from that idiot woman who had collossal implants and it was probably more the weight of the fake boob crushing the baby that caused issues than the size.

Phew , was getting slightly concerned, and its not a question I would ask someone in the real world as it would be a tad akward and they would alwayds have a mental image of your nipples everytime you spoke to them , lol. Should we have a feeding pillow? Ive only ever saw someone breastfeed once before and she just propped baby up on an ordinary bedroom pillow?

    Morning All -

Very impressed to see talk of fruit pastille nipples this early :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well - it is far too nice a day to be in work today and I have masses of work to do (as demonstrated by me being on MSE :D)

Haven't seen waterbaby on for a couple of days so hopefully she is having mummy cuddles by now!

You don't need a special pillow - some people find it helps but an ordinary one will be fine.

lol! at all the talk of fruit pastilles :rotfl:I'm steering clear of that bottlefeeding v breastfeeding thread - always turns in to a nightmare!

I've steered clear too - the breastfeeding gestapo always seem to appear in force on threads like that!
