Hi Ladies
Congrats to all the new mummies.:T
Not been around for a while as I've not been sleeping well and was so exhausted I couldn't type anything coherent!
Thought I'd cracked the sleeping using pillows but the last couple of nights I just can't get back to sleep, really bad cramps and painful hips
I'm now third trimester :j
Since I've last posted I've had my GTT as well - ended up with black bruises on both arms from the blood tests. I've been referred for physio on my arm. Nearly finished painting the nursery murals. Also the pushchair finally arrived, I'd taken a chance on a company with a bad rep because they were so much cheaper and I had enough time to wait if they delayed - which they did massively and still not got my footmuff yet, but it arrived in one piece and we've had a play.
I'm running out of time to get a gender scan, so after a lot of umming and aahing over justifying the cost I've decided to ebay a few things and use the profits to fund it  I'm not so antsy to find out as I was but I'll be really narked if I wash all the girl's clothes we've been given and it's a boy! Also it's another chance to see him/her before they arrive.
I'm loving the kicks and movements - despite some badly placed ones and the little one's party trick of hitting both sides of my stomach at once! OH seems much happier now he can feel and see them move, I guess he feels more involved now.0 -
Will you please stop posting that EDD list. I'm creeping up it and i'm starting to freak out a bit! 26 weeks today, so only 14 to go

I'm hoping i've rested up enough to just get on with finishing the week. Another 3 weeks of work left after this week and i'd really like to see the back of it.
Thanks for all the support guys xx
Good news.galvanizersbaby wrote: »lol! - a lady at work prodded my bump yesterday - it hurt! - really annoying!
Um...ASSAULT Honestly...I'd have prodded her back and threatened to break her fingers if she did it again..
I'm with piggers. Actually a work colleague did this once, and I told her not to...then she did it again and I told her I would have to punch her if she did it again;)Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

lol! - I usually get on ok with the woman - was just a bit of a surprise - I did give her a bit of a look0 -
LOL @ fruit pastille nipples. The topics of discussion on here :rotfl: I did think the bf/bottlefeeding thread would turn into a debate, I posted early on, it's a shame it had to continue. Most of us at the beginning were of the mind it's up to you, but if you give bf a go and it doesn't work out then at least you have tried, and don't feel bad about it. It's whatever works for you and your baby. I wouldn't let anyone else tell me otherwise.I wore a tight top for the first time on the weekend Lablover but I could see my own bellybutton through it & that grossed me out a bit!
My belly button looks really weird atm - it's not become an outie but it seems to have shrunk and turned more into a winking eye shape!
Haha my bellybutton is odd too. It hasn't popped yet, but looking to be close. Mine is normally pretty deep, but it has flattened right out and I don't like it at the moment :rotfl:0 -
I don't really mind people touching bump as long as they ask. Only time i don't feel like they are feeling flab haha.
I am feeling a lot better now, stomach pains have gone. Was watching a presentation at work this mornign and baby was having a good old wriggle.0 -
Hi All,
I'm in a much better mood today
Everyone seems in good spirits today despite the trials so thats good
I am right there with you on the people touching - but then i have realised that i did the same to my very good friend when she was preggo and must have been equally annoying so have kept my mouth shut.
15 + 3 today and i have now told work, its a bit overwhelming with everyone knowing and with the reality of it all, i mean, we planned this and i knew it was going to happen and i know there is a baby in there, but at the same time, its all a bit disconnected if that makes sense?
I've avoided the Breast vs Bottle debate as well - i kinda want to make my own decision and am one of those that scare stories tend to sink into my brain so if i can avoid reading them all the better
Have got a mega craving for Muller rice which normally i hate and my craving for jelly sweets and fizzy sweets has almost totally gone now which is very odd.
Puzzled x0 -

(It's a nice story)
It's interesting to read that they say babies born at 24 weeks have only a 2% survival rate, and that is often with severe disabilities. However we are led to believe the chances are better as we are considered 'viable' at 24 weeks
I must admit that program last week about babies born at 23 weeks was an eye opener. What an awful choice to have to make.0 -
Puzzled , glad your feeling better today.I was having a low day yesterday aswell but I soon cheer up when I think of my little baby.I know what you mean about telling work ,I didnt plan my baby and was as shocked as everyone at my work . But I liked the time when I knew and they didnt , even now I blush a little when people mention it , I find it all a bit private and personal and I dont want to be the topic of conversation and public property. Rant over lolThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/110
