Oh no - I'm bottom!!I'll never have this baby!
xDx
I'm due after you.. I think.. but no idea when or if it will stick around so not on the list.. but I wan't on it with my last one either.
i think its inbuilt in mummies. Even if youve always been a sound sleeper as soon as you have a baby you are on constant alert.
Even last night when DS woke himself up coughing and had a wee cry my eyes flew open. He cried on and off for the whole night because of this cough. My OH never heard him once.

Im a light sleeper anyways. Sometimes I dont think I actually sleep , just close my eyes and chill out. This getting up every hour has been good tho because now I know I can function on very little sleep/rest.On the nites when I dont get up for the loo or a drink I feel groggy in the morning and sleepy all day. Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Hmph you're lucky!! I'm with Nic, you do become far more alert and it can be really annoying at times, it takes me forever getting back to sleep!!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Wendz my OH could sleep through a jumbo jet landing next to the house. He also slept through the smoke alarm once, luckily it was just a false alarm but its very worrying.Looks like i'l be up on my own trying to settle a screaming baby .....
Nope, you just give him a robust shove in the ribs.
Just watching crufts, and the amazing medical assistance dog that detects when the girl has a hypo.hyper
Trying to explain to puppy that she can do clever things like that when she is older, while she reads the sunday magazine to destruction...
Feel really sicky today, not sure if is just a bug. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Nic2075 - I've heard people say that you never sleep the same again once you have a child. I can believe it too although yet to experience it myself. (apart from pigpen of course who is a law unto herself!)
Wendz- that list sounds great. The receptionist at the midwife centre told me my next appointment (15/16 weeks) would only take 15 mins which is helpful to know.
Ddebski - It's painful isn't it? I had my scan and booking appointment at just over 10 weeks so have been twiddling my thumbs waiting for the next one. 5 whole weeks but nearly there now.
I'm not on the list because I don't want to be right near the end. There's no logical reason. It's not as if it will change anything. This morning I decided to wait until the first October mummy comes along and then I won't even be in the last month. I'm terrible for setting myself pointless targets.
Forumgrazer - let us know how it goes with your bosses. Mine know but we don't talk about itI can't keep putting "the talk" off though because it's unfair on them really. They prob don't want to ask me.

.
tis true. You also switch on your spidey sense as soon as you hear a child crying in a crowd and can tell straight away if its yours. I used to think all babies sounded the same, but not now.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning ladies
I'm feeling a little more positve today, although not really sure why or what has changed lol.
Good luck for tomorrow Apricot!!
All you Boldies i hope your babies arrive healthy and happily soon!
Debski, im at the bottom with youwe have a good few months to keep each other company
Im not telling work colleagues for another 2 weeks and today im busting to say something - but i am also thinking that if i tell everyone in 2 weeks that leaves only 5 weeks until my 20 week scan (at 21+2) so thats something to look forward to

I've always been a heavy sleeper and was hoping to stay that way - I told OH crib will have to go on his side of the bed as he will wake up before me :rotfl::happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Went home at lunch to check on my wounded dog and let her out for a pee....... forgot to take my keys out with me , so left my handbag and house keys up in the flat ,flat door wide open but the main door was locked. So was stuck outside with my grumpy dog and my mobile phone. Que massive sob attack , had mascarra all down my face, phoned everyone in my phone book no-one was answering. Then got through to my OH and managed through the sobs to tell him what happened and could he get his dad ( lives just up the street ) to pop down with spare key. OH goes all sheepish and admits FIL doesnt have spare key anymore , OH lost his keys on a lads night out and has been using his dads ever since. So que more tears and the dog joining in aswell for good effect. OH phones my dad , who was going to drive home from work (30 miles away) pick up his spare key then drive to my house ( 10 miles away ):eek: Then OH had a brain wave, he remembered seein the postman leave keys in a gas meter but couldnt remember which one. So I had to walk round perimeter of block of flats opening all the gas boxes , eventually found bag of keys in box number 20 and then had to try all the different keys in the lock , would be the last key wouldnt it. So managed to get dog in and grab a roll.Back at work now with make-up like KISS and feeling sorry for myselfThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
