Ddebski Hate to say it but my second MW appointment was a bit of a non event too! We need to encourage some of the people who are only posting in the 12-24 weeks thread to join the list. I was at the bottom for ages too and went canvassing for new members - Im slowly moving up though
:j20 week scan tomorrow!:j Im so excited!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Chickywiggle I honestly would take her to the vets for anything but it clearly gets better whenever shes getting offered something or is getting to play so we will see. Feel like a fraud when I take her to see the vet because shes normally hyper active and they end up not giving her any treatment because " she doesnt look like shes in any pain " Yet when I told her off for biting the draught excluder she started limping as if I had shot her in the leg. As you say tho its all good practise.Got the midwife on friday will be 24w+4 by then , what do they do at this appointment? ..... MUST REMEMBER PEE POT !!!
lol - DS hurt his arm... after about 16 hours of not using it we took him to childrens a&e - 2 hours later when we saw a dr he was fine! hope shes better soon.
re: appt. not a lot.... they'll feel for baby, do your blood pressure and send you on your way. I've been VERY bad this time round - never actually remembered to take my sample with me, just have to squeeze one out when i'm there (not that tricky TBH). midwife doesnt mind - gives her time to complete the notes write up. wouldn't have dared do it with the midwife i had with DS1 she was a witch!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Ddebski - dont' worry before you know it you will be near the top and wondering how it happened!
Lablover- my 24 week appointment was pretty standard - just the usual blood pressure, urine check, heartbeat listen0 -
Didnt think the appointment was anything special but then they dont give you any info on what happens at certain appointments. Cant stop eating , when I went to my parents for sunday lunch I just kept on eating then ate my pudding and then OH's. My mum and dad were shocked , lol Have this constant need to eat.hopefully I will get weighed at this appointment as my scales at home are rubbish and I would be interested to know how much weight ive put on.Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Oh and I got my MatB1 form at it as well. One good thing my doctors have done is give me a sheet of all the appointments and what happens at each so I know what to expect which is good.
Good luck for scan tomorrow Apricot.
I have just been trying to sort out all the giant cardboard boxed lying around so we can take them to the tip. OH has managed to sleep through the racket I have been making!0 -
Wendz my OH could sleep through a jumbo jet landing next to the house. He also slept through the smoke alarm once, luckily it was just a false alarm but its very worrying.Looks like i'l be up on my own trying to settle a screaming baby .....Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Deb, dont worry about being at the bottom. it feels like you never move up but when you get into the top 30 then you start to panic lol. I kept moving further down as more people further on joined lol. But now im 33 weeks and wishing i was still at the bottom.
Im looking forward to the baby coming but scared at the same time.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

i think its inbuilt in mummies. Even if youve always been a sound sleeper as soon as you have a baby you are on constant alert.
Even last night when DS woke himself up coughing and had a wee cry my eyes flew open. He cried on and off for the whole night because of this cough. My OH never heard him once.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
