Exciting. Def practise ones?
No one is ever ready for a baby and everyone copes, well almost everyone does, and if we don't we're all bright enough to get a bit of extra support until we are coping.

Hello ladies, think this is the first time I've properly sat down all weekend.
Well I returned home from work on friday to a suprise baby shower from my friends and mum which was lovely. I''m afraid I had twigged on as there was a few weird texts throughout the day and remember OH's friends had made a comment about a baby shower the week before, I felt awful that they had gone to all the trouble and then I twigged but they were brill and I just couldn't act surprised lol.
There was about 10 of us in total, I got a Pink Lining changing bag with lots of fancy smellies from my friends and a massage voucher off my mum and MIL. Think I'm going to return the bag though, it is lovely but I've got a nice plain black brand new changing bag from mothercare off a friend which is great so they've said I can take it back. I just would be scared to use it when it cost so much, it's from John Lewis so I think I'm going to treat myself to some posh make up instead.
Have done nothing but eat all weekend and have had the worse cankles. They are really bad now, went out to the shops today to try and get some pretty black flip flops but not much summer stuff out there now and I'm struggling to walk around the shops
One week left at work - woo hoo. Pray baby stays put til after i've had my hair done on saturday.....Hope you've all had lovely weekends....off to catch up with all your news now...xx0 -
Babyshower sounds lovely Dusty. Some really nice gifts, good they thought of you as people sometimes forget us and concentrate on baby!
Hope your last week at work goes quick! Can't wait till mine.0 -
Evening ladies
I've had a really uncomfortable weekend and am feeling very sorry for myself. Rolled over in bed this morning and heard the loudest crack coming from my pelvis, and the pain when I got out of bed was awful
On a positive, we got the cot built today :T
I had lost some of the original fixings over the years, and Mothercare promised weeks and weeks ago to send me some spares. I've chased them up once already, and they still haven't come. We ended up going to B&Q for some alternative solutions. Just need to get a mattress now so I've just been looking at the Amazon links earlier in the thread (thank you!).
My friend has given me a moses basket which is lovely, but the mattress for that is foam and I'd really feel happier with a new mattress in it so I know it is clean and dust-free, so I'm going to look for one now. My pram base is the same size and that has a mattress in it which has a plastic wipe clean cover on, which I would like on moses basket too for cleaning up little sicky spills.
Hope all mums and bumps are well xOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
