Afternoon
Had my anti d and all was fine. Sammy - yes had to have it at 28 weeks and 34 but I know isn't the same everywhere...not sure why! OH was shocked at the size of the needle haha. Didn't hurt so much today for some reason but my arm is a bit achy.
We found out the sex because OH wanted to know. I wasn't too fussed but glad i know as I like calling her a she.
Does anyone know where the post is about RLT , can't remember how many cups I should be on!
Wendz, its on the edd list half way down-Suppplement dosage list:):)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Had a sweep at the midwife this morning, that smarted a bit but I guess that means she did the best job she could lol.
Im 2-3cm and cervix is soft. Apparently Im all ready to go, baby is just being very lazy. Got induction date for next Thurs, so annoyed, I really really didnt want to be induced.
You've still got time to go naturally DM - sending you lots of labour vibes!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Im not allowed to name book as the copy I have is a proof ,its not yet published. But after reading it ,it wont stay unpublished for long. Il try and find out when it goes into print. Ive been shamelessly mentioning things from it tho
GBaby , time has run out for us on the moving front ,Ive put my pregnant foot down and said no to OH , we will cope in the flat and then re-think things after Christmas.Cant face moving again
I know what you mean about moving - I moved house heavily pregnant with DS and then again when DD was 15 months.
This time shouldn't be too bad as we will just be renting for a bit while waiting for our properties to sell so we can consolidate and buy one place together.
I have considered staying put till after the baby arrives and though my flat has 2 beds the neighbours above us are awful (noisy and abusive) so I don't think I could stand having a newborn here - it's bad enough with the kids now:(
I've lived under a lady with a newborn before and I know she got pretty stressed trying to stop the crying etc not that it bothered me in my pre children era)
Will just have to hope the market picks up and we can sell in the summer.
BTW - neither of my 2 looked anything like their father either at birth or now so I'm not too sure about that theory - although I have heard it in the past.
I have not bothered to buy pregnancy books this time round - and as for the baby books - I got the Gina Foord one when DS was born which is all about strict routines - we had a go but unfortunately DS hadn't read it so we managed without any books in the end :cool:0 -

I would have said stop paying rent till it's done, but you may need a reference for the new place so don't do it just threaten it;)
Thanks hun, we went to the CAB about 6 months ago and they advised us to send a recorded letter detailing all the problems and time scales. It filled two sides of A4, and since then other problems have arisen. They know I am pregnant and living in a damp house is not advisable. We gave them 14 days or we'd take it further. The letting agent came round, fed us a load of bullcarp, and the only thing that got done was the radiator in the bathroom (due to me continually nagging) after about a month. This was important though as it was winter and it was ice cold in there, and the walls constantly wet even with window open, so black mould kept appearing.
CAB said there wasn't much we could do anyway. So we decided to put up with it for the last 6 months then move. Unfortunately the rental market has now gone mad and we are struggling - typical.
Withholding rent would leave us open to a CCJ/no reference, so we're not going to go that route.
I got an email from them yesterday saying they wanted to start doing viewings in the last few months of our contract. So they certainly aren't going to bother fixing things, even after we've gone. And some poor old s£d will have to go through what we've been through.... Nightmare.0 -

Was waiting to hear from you DueMarch. Sounds like you're more ready than me. I'm sure yours will be here before next thursday
I wonder whether the consultant was just really rough with my sweep then as my was really uncomfortable. I'm trying to decipher her scrawl on my notes, think it says cervix thick, midline 2cm long. 1cm dilated, vx -3. No idea what most of that means. Anyone know?
edit, just found this-explains some of it

It says she doesn't think labour is imminent..
1cm is normal in the later stages of pregnancy, 1-2 cm is normal if you have already had a vaginal delivery.
vx.. head down
-3 .. depends on the the individual mw. The head is divided into 5th's.. and some write how may they can feel and other write how much they cannot feel.. so -3 means they can feel 3/5ths of the head or cannot feel 3/5th's..
The cervix is normay about 10cm long and thick.. it gets shorter and thinner then opens wide to let baby free .. so thick isn't good in terms of eviction.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon ladies
Babyboysmummy has asked me to post on her behalf that she had her baby very early. Her last post was about braxton hicks contractions, which turned out to be premature labour. She had a rough week whilst they tried to stop the labour, but in the end her baby boy, Alfred, was born 5th March by emergency c-section (I think it was about 11.45pm that night). He came along at a tender 26+5 weeks, weighing a tiny 1.02kg (which is about 2.2lb if the calculator I used is right)
Mum is recovering in hospital from her section, and little baby Alfred is a fighter and despite his tiny size and weeks, he is off ventilation and oxygen and breathing on his own.
I'm sure that all your thoughts and well-wishes will be much appreciated at this time for both mum and baby.
I am in touch with Babyboysmummy through another channel to here and have known her a few years, so will keep you up to date as and when there is any news to share.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
