Ok, I've given in and ordered some more teabags off the H&B website :rotfl: Does anyone know how quick their delivery is??

I think it said dispatch is between 24-48 hours, so hopefully delivery by 3-4 days? Did you order anything else? I got some pistachios and almonds as well to make up for free delivery :rotfl: Must stop spending.

    Congrats hitchins. What a beauty!!

Just looking at the list, there's an awful lot if babies due in April. Looks like July was a frisky month :rotfl:

    Haha does look busy ;)
  • Congrats Hitchins, can't wait to read your birth story.

37+5 today blew up my birth ball had a 2 minute bounce then got bored, is that all I do bounce? how beneficial is it? as I'm not sure I can be bothered with it :o

Well OBEM has freaked my mother out (it was the quick birth with the dipping heart rate and cord round the neck), it has reminded her of a relative who's baby was stillborn in this circumstance.
She now says she is coming in to the delivery room  I'm really torn as to whether to let her, on the 1 hand she'll be useful as with DD I had a horrible midwife who ignored me and DH said nothing to her, she would not have ignored my mother let me tell you. On the other hand I am a screamer and she'll be shouting at me to shut up which I really don't need.
What does everyone think help or stress maker?

PC I bounce on my ball but near my due date and in early labour I circle my hips. It's meant to get things moving. My labours progressed quickly and I used one. I sat circling my hips for hours during the day and my waters broke that night. Worth a go.

Re having your mum. Will your OH be there too? Would you feel more relaxed without her? The chances of you getting a horrible MW are low. It's up to you. I personally get on great with my mum but I'd rather it was a special moment for md and my OH. If he couldn't be there then I'd ask her.

I have the issue with my inlaws wanting to come and stay the weekend im due. They can't take any other weekend off (it's the long one with the royal wedding) and she thinks if will be ideal so they can take the kids for us. But I want a homebirth. During the day might bs fine but what if it's at night?
Plus I want to relax before and after and BF without having to hide etc.
I'm trying to build up how to ask them to stay in a hotel.
I love my mil, but I wanted this time to be just my OH and the kids.

    Congrats Hitchins - he's lovely!

Puzzledbubbles - congrats on your scan!! :j And you've been put forward - bah, I was put back one day. :(

Dusty - can't see your photos at work - will have a nosey at home tonight - it sounds lovely.

I'm 12+4 today - how early on am !??!! It feels like a lifetime until I'll have my baby and all of you will have gone!! Getting frustrated at my teeny bump and dressing it - nothing looks good anymore - I'd rather I just had a huge bump instead.

    Have a nice day ladies.

    xDx

    Morning ladies.

    Congrats Hitchins, he is adorable.

I had a v uncomfortable evening with contractions every 6-8 minutes, that went on for 1 hour....then stopped. Had pains and general cramping, but managed to get to sleep, and have woken up feeling normal again.
I'm beginning to think that bubs contemplates his entry to the world, then decides..."nah, i'll stay in here!"

Right, i'm off to prepare myself for all the "have you had it yets" on the school run, then i think i'll hibernate til the lunch school run and not answer the phone or the door :) I don't know what else to do to encourage this baby to come out.
DH keeps asking if i'm ok, which is starting to do my head in, but i think its because he's looking forward to a couple of weeks of work, plus he's a little worried that he works 45 mins from home and can't break the speed limit if i do go into labour as he got a ticket a couple of weeks ago, for doing 37 in a 30 zone!

I was told by a med student that it doesn't replenish after birth, so probably best to keep up calcium intake while you're still pg.

    Morning all,

Nic - thanks for tips with ball, I have had a few goes at bouncing on it but get a bit bored. Will def give the hip swirling a go when I am near due date! Hope you manage to persuade the in laws to stay in a hotel. Some people don't seem to think about what you would want.

PC - although i love my Mum don't think i could deal with her in delivery room. Depends whether you think she will be more of a help or hindrance.

Debbski - time will fly and you will wonder where it has gone!

Jojo- hope baby tries a bit harder to make an appearence for you!

I am 34 weeks today! Got my second anti d this morning. OH is driving me to the hospital as he is not working till later. Having a mini lie in as we don't need to leave till 10.

You are the most important thing in this situation, tell them you need peace to establish b/f and can they come another weekend.
My SIL will attempt a pitch invasion, but I have already told DH if she appears, I'm going out:rotfl:

I asked about birth plans and she said that they don't do them - but I could write something down if I want.

Sorry but I think she just CBA.

I'm not taking anything, maybe I should? I'm undecided and by the time I make my mind up bubs will be here!

I'm not taking anything either, though I do quite fancy trying a curry!

Hitchins he is gorgeous, congrats :j:j:j
