Hi Twi1ight! I love this group as everyone here has been through the earlier stages don't forget so they all have a wealth of advice for us newbies!
I would make pancakes - they don't take that long and what baby wants baby gets!

Ps. Please go on the list - I want to move up!

    Afternoon ladies

SM beautiful wee boy! Looks very content!

Nic fab news about the job interview, fingers crossed you are able to sort something out!

Jojo good luck with the consultant fingers crossed for something happening soon!

I'm not feeling great today, felt really sick this morning then at work I was actually sick...I thought I was passed all that! Bubs is going absolutely mental today and it is very very painful, occasionally he/she kicks and it feels like little electric shocks going through my tummy.....it's really unpleasant :( Getting some mild period pain at the mo and pretty intense BH's, if it doesn't calm down I might go home and rest (but I probably wont LOL, I say it but never do it!!).

The weather is absolutely appalling today! It's really windy and has just started pouring with rain, can't really complain I suppose we have had pretty nice weather for nearly 2 weeks!

Hope everyone has a nice afternoon! :)

Thanks apricot. I think I will make them as have the ingredients and don't have anything else so would have to buy something for tea anyway. Why have you only been paid half wages by the way?!

I just noticed that M&S have a few maternity items reduced online. Going to have a browse although I've noticed they don't exactly have a big or exciting collection. Should be working but both bosses away today so taking it easy. Shhhhhhh

Maternity pay is a scary thought. We should manage it but Ive been saving incase. Hope to have about 2k in the bank should I need to dip into it.We arent big spenders but its the one time in your life when you want to be able to phone a chinese if your too tired to cook.Or just chuck jacket on and put bubs in buggy and head out to cafe for a bit sanity without having to count out the coppers !!

    Afternoon everyone

I don't normally get that teary at OBEM but did a bit last night. OH was sat there saying if you sound like that I am walking out... don't think he know what he has let himself in for.

Twilight - i am having pancakes for one tonight as OH is at work.

Our car is finally fixed, they said they have done loads of roadtests to fingers crossed. Need to check car seat fits!

Need to give hospital a ring to see if they have blood results for my anti d tomorrow as they messed me around so much last time I want to check.

Teenie Hope you feel better soon xx

Twi1ight Basically I was due to be paid last Monday (1st) and boss had no money in the bank so by Tuesday I was getting really annoyed as Im monthly paid and so always look forward to payday. She said she had enough in to pay me half of my wage to keep me going and I could have the rest by the end of the week. No money went into my account yesterday and when I asked she spouted off some sob story about not having enough money until Wednesday, I don't actually mind but wish she would tell me rather than me having to keep asking where my wages are. She is not very happy about my pregnancy so I can't help but think it may have something to do with the fact that she knows I can't leave now (this is my first payday since I told her). All in all she's a bit of a witch.

Gorgeous photos Spaghetti - what a cutie :)

Nic - Congrats on the job interview. I too would call them and see if you can rearrange. Fingers crossed.

Teenie - Look after yourself hon. You sound as if you need a rest. Can you take the day off tomorrow?

I've been quite productive today - had a good clean of the kitchen and cleaned out the fridge so off to Asda soon to stock it up.

I had the last of my RLT teabags this morning - can't believe I've got through a box of 50 in a couple of weeks  Anyway, I'm now moving on to the loose tea hardcore form that my sister got from Neals Yard that you have to use a strainer - and OMG - :eek:_pale_ It looks like dishwater and tastes like dishwater - rank!!!!!! So avoid loose RLT at any cost! I now have 2 bags of the stuff and the MSE part of me will not waste it and buy some teabags. And tomorow I'm on 4 cups a day - bleurgh!!

How many cups is it you can have at 34 weeks? I can't find the thing that was posted on here.

Rang hospital and they have blood results so should be fine for anti d tomorrow. Didn't want to waste my time going down there again to be turned away.

Sammy you are so organised ! Im an organiser aswell,Ive started writting notes in my diary of when to do things lol.Hoping to have the cot bought and up when Im around 34weeks. All bedding washed and put on , lol .(my mum was 4 weeks early with her first, 2 days with her second and bang on with her 3rd ) So dont want to be caught out. Also before I go on maternity I want to batch cook and stock freezer up so that we will have food for a while after bubs is born. All sound good on paper but we will see what happens , lol .Im watching an easyfix base on ebay at the minute , its like two mins drive from my work and is only at £15 , it would save us alot of hastle as OH constantly gets nephew stuck in car seat and I never even try it.Its got three days left tho , so I hope no-one bids
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
