Hi DueMarch, hope something happens for you soon!
Have been up since 08:30 today very productive and finishing painting a tv unit, plus putting a wash on and doing dishes, all before 10am, good to feel some energy back...
I was wondering what happens at the 20 week scan - we have ours next week - does it take much longer than normal as they have more to check?:):)

Sparkle - they do lots of measuring and checking of organs etc so does take a bit longer than 12 week one. Mine was a bit rushed though as they forgot about me in the waiting room!0

Morning ladies
Not long woken up!!! Saying that I didn't get to sleep properly until about 2am due to heartburn/throwing up!!Still got this cold lurking but not coming too much so not bothering me too much, bit of earache this morning though!
Yeah on DD due march, let's hope it isn't too long before you meet bubs, and fingers crossed we will hear of at least one new baby today...it's been a while!!
Having a lazy day today, DH has become the budding gardener so he will be in the garden most of the day probably with DD guddling about there too LOL!
33 weeks today, getting scarily close! I really should think about getting things organised might have a look today.
Have a lovely day ladies and fingers crossed for these babies xxx"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
PC good news about bubs weight. Was he round the right way?
He was head down ish, on a diagonal. He seems to flat refuse to be properly head down I'm over 37 weeks and he hasn't been yet.
I was wondering what happens at the 20 week scan - we have ours next week - does it take much longer than normal as they have more to check?
They spend about 15 minutes silently checking all the organs and measuring everything then call in your partner and spend 5-10 showing you everything ie look here's the feet! etc then will do a sex check if your hospital does it and you want it.AKA: PC

My OH came in straight away.. they showed me the baby was alive and then checked all its bits etc .. and showed us what she was doing and what she was checking
.. did a heart trace and cord doppler
and checked position of the placenta
Checked the gender.. and we watched Squeak sucking her hand and poking her tongue in and out for a bit.. then laughed at her hiccups.
We had to go back the next week for her spine to be checked as she was in a funny position.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
My OH couldn't be with me as got called into work last minute, was really annoyed! He did come to the gender scan we had at 18 weeks though which was nice. They don't tell you the gender in my area at 20 week scan.
OH has just put up cot yay looks lovely. Off to Dunhelm Mill in a min to see if they have any nice bedding.0 -
Hi all thanks so much for answers re: 20 week scan... next question... where do I even start when considering reuseable nappies? Do I buy a big set with everything in, and are there some brands more recommended than others?
Edit > Our council doesn't offer any incentive schemes - boo... however have just found this link for reuseable baby wipes which seem really good and the testimonials also good - anyone used them?

Thanks for all the replies to my housing problem, ladies. Hopefully we found 'the one' today. We love it, but so do several other people. Down to landlord now!dustystar02 wrote: »Come on baby Hitchins and RBG - we need some pics too coo over
Ladies who bought the M+P Zoom, I've noticed on the website that it has gone down in price again, by £25.90. I've just rang M+P and cos the gurantee doesn't start til the date baby arrives they have refunded the difference to us :money:Worth giving them a ring 0845 268 2000.
For those that haven't yet decided on a pushchair, I've heard nothing but good things about the Zoom (cannpt comment myself as not had need to use it yet) - and it really is a bargain at this new price.
In other news - Baby Dust Speck is 36 weeks today :j
Hey Dusty, did you pay full price for the Zoom when you bought it? As we got ours when it had £100 off over Christmas, and not sure they'd take another £25 off.0
