Sammy - yes your waters don't have to break first. My Mum's didn't naturally with my sister and they had to burst them for her and flooded the room...nice haha!
I also have hair appointment booked , is going to be when I am 36 weeks and day of my baby shower so at least my hair will look nice haha.
I've been that paranoid that I'm going to go early I've brought all my appointments forward.
Finish work at 38wks, Hair at 38+1 and brazillian/pedicure at 38+5
Ideally I would love a few days of enjoying doing nothing while on mat leave and catching up on the Sky+ so eviction will start from 39+3
Please don't let bubs come before then0 -
Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well, just popping in quick to say if you go on this website http://www.nhs.uk/Planners/pregnancycareplanner/Pages/BirthPlan.aspx
scroll down to print blank form at the bottom of the page, midwife told me about it, had a fab appointment on monday with her and went through the whole form with us, me & hubby had already filled it out, there are gaps in the form for you to fill in questions or things you might want to discuss that you're not sure of, we found it brilliant as it covered everything we wanted to do and what we needed to know. hope this helps anyone.0 -

Awwwww, Josh is gorgeous! Congratulations!!!!!
Can i ask what is probably a stupid question - when baby outgrows a cot can you put them into a single bed?
OH and i have been looking at cotbeds under the impression that they would last a lot longer, but now im not so sure.
Also, how old does a baby need to be to outgrow a cot?
Puzzled x0 -
mine were in a cot or cotbed until they were toilet trained at night or until they could climb out.
the cotbed is obviously bigger and can be used as a bed (take sides off) until they are about 4 or 5 whereas they need a bed once they are out of the cot.. mine were 18months-2.5 years depending on when they toilet trained.

Thanks Pigpen - so, really, we would only be saving ourselves 2 years?
I am thinking that one reason for going for a cotbed was the cost, but thanks to the lovely poster that showed the cheaper cot (the cheapest ive seen) im thinking that £100 now for a cot bed and then £100 for a single in a few years time might be better spent as £40 - 50 now and then £100 slightly sooner.
Food for thought, will talk to OH later
The other side of the coin is that our friend who is staying with us may leave her bed (long story, but a friend in need kinda thing) and in that case we would be able to put a single bed into the attick and just buy a mattress later on - but would be no good for a little one as it is like a half cabin bed with 3 steps up a ladder ...
thanks for you help :T0 -
I'm back home after midwife, lunch and shopping. I be shattered! Midwife appointment was fine, it was the same one I've seen before but she was really good today. Told her about my consultants appointment and she just rolled her eyes and said they should know! I have been referred due to my BMI mainly and so that I have growth scans not just my blood pressure etc! I'm seeing her again before next consultants appointment so said she will make clear note and highlight it!! Found heartbeat and baby kicked the doppler thingy. My BP was 110/80 so she was happy. She told me to go and see the doctor re my lack of sleep and ankle problems. So feel happier today..well except the thought of GTT in 3 weeks! Off to catch up!
