I have got a doppler and been able to find baby since about 15 weeks - I was just really looking forward to MW finding it so I could confirm what I hear is actually bubs

She didn't ask for a wee sample or feel my tummy? I just felt a bit shortchanged :rotfl: seeing as I haven't seen anyone since 9 weeks and Im now 19 weeks I just thought they would want to check something?

Im over it now - having Indian for tea which has cheered me up no end :D

I have to do a wee sample for every appointment - so I best remember when half awake tomorrow morning! And tummy always felt. I'd say something next time x Oh and enjoy the Indian!
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:

Only had my tummy felt for the last two appointments, and will do each one now on (I'm 31 weeks). I didn't have tummy felt at 16 weeks as baby too small then. Think she first did it was I was 24 weeks. She wasn't able to tell what she was feeling the first time, just that it was a baby :rotfl: Last time she said she could feel baby's head was down. Who knows what she'll find tomorrow :rotfl:

She always tests wee (except last time when I forgot sample), blood pressure, baby's heartbeat. Also did swabs for MRSA at my last appointment and took some blood.

Ice - rest up, that's an order!!!

Apricot - i've found all of my MW appts to be useless. That's why I don't bother asking hubby to come with me lol. Blood pressure, wee sample, later listen to bubs, quick feel of bump and out the door I am. Spend more time in the waiting room!

Oooo nursery pics? Wanna see too!

My midwife appt tomorrow too. Pfffft. Would rather have an extra hour in bed! Pee pot out at the ready.

As for buying something expensive for bubs I kinda see it as this... You deserve at least one treat. One thing that is overly expensive but makes you feel like it is worthwhile. Go for it I say. You only live once! :D

Ice - what a scare that must have been , make sure you rest up.

Apricot - i had my heartbeat listened to at 16 weeks but i know some midwives won't do it till later. I also have to do a urine test each time. Hopefully next time you go will be a bit better!

I have been arranging lots of lunches at work with contractors and my team so lots to look forward to in my last few weeks.

LOL lot's of us with MW's appointments tomorrow, I don't mind though it gives me 1/2 hr out of work :D

It will be very intersting to see how bubs is lying, I think probably still breech but do feel like I have a bit more room up top today!

I had a midwife appointment at 16 weeks I then didn't see her again until 28 weeks as this is my second pregnancy. At 16 weeks I was in & out in no time. No listening for heartbeat or feeling my tummy :( They did all that at 28 weeks as well as taking more blood. I'm now waiting for my next appointment which is at 34 weeks & as she put it she will be seeing more of me after that. Reassuring as the baby will be nearly here! Lol!

In other news FairyShazza & baby Jack are still in hospital :( They won't let them go home yet due to his weight loss. Fingers crossed that they get home soon. xx
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

    Hi everyone.
Had the midwife visit today, got a breastfeeding dvd and had a chat. She asked if I had any questions but as this is my first baby I dont know what I need to ask and my memory isnt so good these days either so I wouldnt remember if I did have something to ask lol!
She has worried me though, apparently the place I was hoping to have baby could be closing down. Its a midwife led unit and has a birth pool and lovely rooms but they dont have a lot of staff. So Im disappointed and hoping it doesnt close. She said they will know by the end of the month. :(

Im really bored tonight. Its my week off from work and today is a day I should be there usually so Im feeling like Im wasting a night lol. Husband is out though as he studies as well as work so he is busy busy so its all just a bit boring tonight. :o

    Hoping everyone is well x
