Apricot - Sorry your appointment was rubbish, but if it makes any difference I found the MW's that do your routine appointments to be rubbish and they wont even be delivering your baby anyways and the ones you do are much nicer. So I wouldnt worry about it.

Just popped in to say Huge labour vibes to anyone who needs them & good luck to RBG. xxxx

    Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is ok. I had a bit of a scare yesterday, I had a "leakage" in work so they carted me off to the hospital. Turns out it was a little leakage of fluid and my waters are still intact! They have told me to rest up for a couple of days so I am taking the rest of the week off work. Only another 2 weeks to go after this until ML starts anyway!

Labour vibes to those in need

    Evening ladies,

Look after yourself Ice - that must have been scary. Similar thing happened to one of my friends who is due a week after me. She started leaking fluid before Christmas and has had to rest loads since. But she's ok now - just needs to take things easy.

Sorry you had a rubbish MW appt Apricot . I hate it when they do that - they keep you waiting for ages and then rush through your appt to make up time. Grrr

Dusty - Can't wait to see your nursery photos! I will post mine once we get the cot up - hopefully this weekend :D I've put everything away in the drawers and it's all so lovely in there - I keep wandering in to have a look :o

For the ladies drinking RLT - do you find it hard to fit it in?? I'm on 3 cups a day now and haven't missed a cup but it is a struggle - don't know how I'm going to make 4 cups a day from next week

I've had a sudden craving for McDs Fillet O Fish - so hubby has nipped out to get one before he goes to work. Mmmmmmm

Sorry, haven't seen a list, but labour vibes to RBG, JoJo, DM11, Hitchins and anyone else I missed x

Back from my MW appointment was a complete waste of time tbh, all she did was take my blood pressure. Wouldn't listen to baby's heartbeat as they apparently won't do it until 22 weeks now! Waited over 20 minutes after my appointment time and was in less than 10 mins - it wasn't even the proper midwife - she is off sick again! Goodness knows if Ill meet her before this baby comes!

Oh dear, that's pretty carp hun :( My MW listened to bubs at 16 weeks I think. 22 weeks? Odd.
I highly recommend the Angel Sounds doppler (not trying to tempt you to spend, honest!). I could find my baby's heartbeat from about 14 weeks I think with that. Didn't try any earlier.
I have MW tomorrow and will prob just be the same old wee tested, BP tested, feel of stomach and listen to HB. Maybe we'll discuss birth plan?

I'm sure bubs will look extra cute in it ;) I know what you mean, you see it you want it. Trouble is I can't blame baby for that, that's me all over as per usual:rotfl:

Aw apricot that's rubbish about your MW appt :( Wonder why they wont listen to hearbeat......strange!

Ice goodness me, what a fright!! Make sure you do rest plenty hun x

All this talk of dark coloured jammies and dressing gowns.... the midwifes must have been laughing at me I had light pink and white pj's and a light pink dressing gown when i was in with dd, luckily I had no spillages LOL!!

ETA: Sammy it is hard drinking all that tea, well I found so when it comes to that point I'm going to go onto the tablets you take the same amount per cup of tea either that (as it might work out expensive) I will do half and half!

I have got a doppler and been able to find baby since about 15 weeks - I was just really looking forward to MW finding it so I could confirm what I hear is actually bubs

She didn't ask for a wee sample or feel my tummy? I just felt a bit shortchanged :rotfl: seeing as I haven't seen anyone since 9 weeks and Im now 19 weeks I just thought they would want to check something?

Im over it now - having Indian for tea which has cheered me up no end :D

Apricot, my midwife didn't do heartbeat at my 16 wk appt either. They say because it can be difficult to find and they don't want to get worried or worry you, so they don't bother. I said thats fine as i had my doppler on that morning and had no problem finding the heartbeat :)

Just happens that every time since then she has really struggled along with the consultant, to find my babies heartbeat. There has been no worry though as each time my bubs has given them a good kick :)
