  • Afternoon all - didn't quite make morning as had the best nights sleep since I've been pregnant, ok to toilet trips but I'll take that! I think because I didn't have any dreams I slept so well!!

Welcome to newcomers to the thread and congrats to Fairy Shazza and any other new babies I may have missed!

I seem to be in the nothing much to report stage, but I lurk everyday. Next midwife is next Thursday then a gap until GTT on 24th March.

I won't get a monitor, live in a bungalow so all the rooms are close together. I've got all the big things now, it just bits like sheets, blankets now. Only got a few clothes, my SIL is going to see what she has still and I think MIL will go mad. I just want to wait until baby here and then will get more bits as he grows!

    Have a relaxing Sunday x

What happened to the weether? When i woke up this moring, the sun was shining and i saw blue sky out of the window-but its done nothing but rain for the past 2 hours.

Re baby monitors, i bought this one in the amazon black friday sale thing
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/VTech-Sleepy-Bear-Digital-Monitor/dp/B001UQ682W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby&qid=1298810429&sr=8-1

not tested it yet, but may do it this afternoon or in the week. OOhhhhh may hide it in my 13 year old daughters room and have a listen in to her phone converstaions when she gets in from school....lol, am i evil?

Madbird glad you had a good sleep hun, been a long time coming ;)

Ema great news about the TENS, slightly jealous as I really want one but don't want to pay full price and too impatient for Ebay :o

    Welcome Kiraroo :D

Nic I'm with you as far as the dreams/hips are concerned. I have been having some weirdy ones but nothing I can really remember or makes sense. My hips are starting to get quite painful in bed but not tooo ling now!

Charlie you could tryMatalan too if you have one

Wendz 5 weeks and 1day for me LOL!! I keep thinking I want the time to go in quickly, but I think when it comes to it I'll be pooping myself LOL!!!

I never really thought about a baby monitor but we will need one. We bought one when I was pregnant with DD but it was never taken out the box so hopefully DH will remember where it is!

  • supermaiden I know what you mean about the dreams, it's true though maybe if you think about that fact that we don't know what is out there, you never know it could be her way of letting you know she knows and is happy for you both. Hormones do funny things to our minds and bodies don't they!?

Charlie1978 I am jealous, I love spreadsheets but haven't got that organised yet

Evening ladies, we had our hospital tour this afternoon. I was very disapointed with the birth pool room, it was teeny and no windows and I know it will get too hot in there fore me, OH is useless with heat too. They say they have fans they can bring in but it has put me off tbh. It was just like a standard bathroom, not even a bed in there so you have to go into another room to deliver the placenta, that's a bit much isn;t it? How do you waddle with it all hanging out and a slippery baby in your arms?

the unit is lovely though, i was expecting loads of newborns screaming and women howling but was suprised how empty and quiet it was. Mabe they warned all the women to keep it down so not to scare us expextant ones off lol.

got to ask lods of questions though, they absolutley do not allow any small amounts of pethadine when in the water so I'm annoyed at the MW at Parentcraft who said we could tbh I never thought they would let us but was hoping anyway.

Stopped off for dinner at a nice pub on way home, stuffed to the brim now with last night left over curry in the fridge, may manage it later.

For those that were wondering about lists and spreadsheets I'll post mine. Please dont be put off by the extensiveness of it. I literally listed everything i could think of then went through and decided what we would need/want. i have not bought all this, am hoping some of the nice extras we will get as gifts if people want to buy us stuff - maybe someone more technically minded than me can add it to the EDD list? i've probably missed some stuff too.
Hope you've all had resting sundays.....xx

Glad the hospital tour was ok apart from the dissapointment with the birth pool. At least you know before though and glad they could answer your questions. I have my tour in two weeks as part of my antenatal class.

Cheers you guys. I was thinking Primark may be the cheapest route. I think hubby is going into the city centre next weekend so i'll just go with him and pop to Primark along the way.

Had a nice poker win the other day so I plan to get all of the baby stuff and hospital bag stuff with it. Was getting a bit worried about stuff left to get but it's sorted now :D

Charlie - are you wanting pjs for the hospital or for now? only on our hospital tour they advised against pjs due to access to your foof and said nighties are much better. I've got a couple of nightshirts in a much larger size to take in, buttion down ones which means I can breastfeed easier - hopefully.

I did get some nice primark pjs for after the birth too but have worn them already and they shrunk in the wash so are already no use.

i got the nightshirts from ASDA and peacocks, dark colours are good too to hide any accidents ;)

    hth...x
