    Hello everyone

I'm a long-term lurker and have been following the thread for weeks and it's been answering all my questions, so thank you ladies!

But I've got a question now that I am hoping someone can help with about NCT antenatal classes. I have a choice between a course that starts when I'm 23 weeks, which is once a week for eight weeks. Or a course that starts when I am 33 weeks but is an intensive weekend. I really don't know which one to choose, this is my first baby and I'm not sure of the best option. Can anyone give me any advice on which to choose and why. I feel like 23 weeks is a bit early to start but then I don't know what an intensive weekend of antenatal information will be like.

    I thought I better mention I'm 22 weeks, due 1 July.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kiraroo , welcome!

I am not doing NCT classes, just doing the NHS one but I am doing a whole day as is easier with my OH working dofferent shifts each week. I will be 34 weeks but I don't think how many weeks you are matters. It is just information so having that at any time will be useful:o

Anyway hopefully someone who has done/is doing NCT classes can help.

    Hi kiaroo

We did the NCT classes and chose to do the 6 weeks course, i am the last due on mine and I think I was 27 weeks when we started.

Part of the reasoning behind doing the 6 week course was the opportunity to get to know other pregnant people in the area. We had a really nice group and have met up with a couple during the course, plus we're all meeting up next week. So if that would be part of your reasoning it might be worth doing the spread out course.

Other thing was we covered a lot in the 6 weeks, it might have been difficult totals everything in over an intense weekend!

Hope that helps a bit :)

    Morning all,

Awake at a lovely time on a Sunday. Just can't stay comfy! I was boiling last night as well.

Morning wendz, I was hot too last night. It's been so much milder. I've actually switched the heating off, feels weird as it's been so cold for so long.
I'm not enjoying going to bed anymore. My hips get sore and I wake up uncomfy or sore or vivid dreams. Not great when you want as much sleep before the baby comes.
