I am not having a monitor as live in flat and is laid out so i would never be far away. I would def have one if lived in house though or if the rooms in flat were far apart.

I didnt even think of monitors :o There is so much to buy! Am starting to get a little stressed about it all! Not sure what colours to buy since baby isnt letting us see yet so hopefully we will know after the next scan in March so I can start buying everything we need.
Cot, pram, drawers, bouncer, bottles incase I cant bf, a mobile for the cot, and loads more. I didnt realise we needed so much stuff lol.

Ive been working out my maternity leave and I think Im going to take it a month before Im due and then have holidays in front of that. I only work 2 days per week so looking at around another 20 work days before I leave. Its much nicer to put it that way lol I can see an end! Dont enjoy the job really anyway so nice to have a number to count down! :rotfl:

The dreams are weird. I dream a lot about my late grandmother. Its usually nice dreams but upsets me anyway because shes not here now, my Husband says its ok though because at least Im seeing her still. So to look at it that way it is nice to know I still see/talk to her. She would be so happy for us, I just wish we had more time with her so she could know we are having a baby, it was always the first thing she asked when I visited lol "no tiny feet yet?" or "not having any kids yet?" :) I think thats mainly what the dreams are about, me telling her. Last one she was holding the scan photo and I was saying Im glad she knows now. Oh dear, best stop here lol.
Some weird dreams do happen though that dont make any sense! I dont know what it is about pregnancy that causes vivid dreams!

20 days does sound good Supermaiden, I have 24 left!
  • I just quite simply don't trust the kids! :D

Re stuff to buy: I just created a little spreadsheet with stuff that I had to buy and then highlighted all the stuff i'd bought in little dribs and drabs. I have little tabs and it's all colourful and stuff lol. It has helped immensely as I have the brain of a sieve at the moment. I'm constantly adding stuff on to it but at least I can keep track and take it with me on my shopping trips and get bits and bobs in every week.

    Morning (just ;) )

Woop I have just won an Elle tens machine on ebay for £37, but assuming I can sell it on for similar it will just cost me for a new set of pads. I was going to hire one but thought I might be a bit busy with bubs to get around to sending it back on time!!

I have 17 more days at work (feeling smug now!). I can remember when it was over 100 though, so not worth counting if you have months and months to go.

Off out for a walk with OH later to try and help this baby into position, don't fancy MW telling me he might be breech again!!

Monitor wise I think we are going for the more expensive of the BT ones, most people I know have them and are impressed. Wouldn't want a video one as I'd be constantly checking... who am I kidding I will probably be sneaking in to look at baby just to make sure everything is okay :)
  • Anyone know where I can get some cheap pyjamas from? I was thinking about just popping up to Primark as I wouldn't normally wear them. It's only to get over the C Section recovery for in hospital and for lounging around at home later. What are the prices in Primark or anywhere else?

Charlie - i have a sheet like yours, helps me remember what i have/haven't got. I got my nighties from primark £4 each so can imagine pj's would be about £6 or something. Other places to try might be supermarkets?

Ema - sounds not a lot when you put it into days now does it. I remember when i went back to work after christmas it was 60 something so much better now!
  • Cheers you guys. I was thinking Primark may be the cheapest route. I think hubby is going into the city centre next weekend so i'll just go with him and pop to Primark along the way.

Had a nice poker win the other day so I plan to get all of the baby stuff and hospital bag stuff with it. Was getting a bit worried about stuff left to get but it's sorted now :D
