Gosh RBG!! 39 weeks!! Wow!!!
Almost there. Any signs yet?? Lol:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -
Thanks wendz, I was thinking of starting maternity leave a month before Im due, so somewhere around 11 June and then put some holidays in for before that. Which reminds me I stupidly put in a holiday for the week after 11th June, doh!
Oh well, I will have to scribble it out lol. I just have to sit down with husband and work it all out I think. Im planning (at the moment) on taking the full 52 weeks off so I have a lot of time with the baby.
Just thinking about my risk assessment, how often do they assess? My boss said she wont re-assess now for 10 weeks so I would be 30 weeks
Baby is kicking again, not sure if its as active as it has been but kicking is kicking right? At least it lets me know he/she is alright. It seems a lot of people are pregnant around now, I keep hearing of more lol.
Going to wear some of my new maternity clothes todayah comfort at last haha.
Congratulations on the new born babies those who have had them! x:j0 -
Hi all, just in case anyone has noticed and wondered why I've disappeared from this thread, I thought I should say that it is because I realised that spending time on a thread where almost everyone is further on in their pregnancy than me and where there are frequently people getting to the end of their pregnancy is very unhelpful for me.
you are further than me!! if that helpsLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning ladies and bumps!
How are we all today? I'm feeling really happy and chirpy today, might have something to do with knowing I only have 2 weeks left at work- roll on March 11th! I'll be 37 +1 on my last day of work, plan of action is to finish work at 5 on the friday, do my housework on the saturday, serve the baby an eviction notice on the sunday and go into labour on the monday. I'm sure that'll be exactly how it works out...
Anyway ladies, I'm wanting your advice on a "delicate" matter. Well, i don't know how to phrase this so I'll just come out and say it... What is eveyone doing about their lady gardens?! I know, I know, it's a bit crude! I haven't seen mine in a few weeks now, but I did go for a bikini wax a few weeks ago and plan on going soon but I don't know if I should bother?! I used to be pretty "tidy" down there but now I can't be bothered! But now i'm starting tto wonder if the midwives will be shocked???
I just re read what I wrote and now I realise how daft I sound...I'm pretty sure the midwives won't bat an eyelid, I'm probably just being an idiot aren't I?!0 -
:eek: Just realised I have 6 weeks left to due date, 4 more weeks at work although cutting down to 4 day weeks for 3 of those
How did this happen, I thought I had agesbut can't wait to meet bubs really :j
Welcome to the newbiesShould I be a bit miffed that I have been knocked down the list by one of you
Firedrone, if you have your heart set on that pushchair could you try other babys r us, or other stockists to see if they have the older model? I would recommend trying as many as you can in the shops to get a feel for what you want, it took us a few attempts to find one we were happy with
Congratulations on baby Rufus Spaghetti
Susan (and other less pg people) I know the feeling from when I was first pg, the less than 12 weeks thread was a lot more helpful and I didn't want to read all the chatter of people buying things and having babies as I was just so worried whether my little one was okay. This thread has been fantastic once I reached the 12 week mark, even though I was still paranoid (and still am sometimes) it has given me some great tips and some really good support, and like others say it is good to be able to discuss concerns / things we saw on tv to see if others have more knowledge than us.
Epic post from me, sorry! It's only going to get worse as I have more time off:D so get used to it

Gosh RBG!! 39 weeks!! Wow!!!
Almost there. Any signs yet?? Lol
I know Coops Wow indeedy lmao
Was at the Drs earlier and she doesn't seem to think she will see me at next week's appointment due to the head being engaged but I doubt very much that bubs will arrive before he is supposed to lol lots of my friends are saying I won't hit my due date either which confirms for me I will more than likely go over lol...no real signs of things moving either unfortunatelylol

Alfalfa - I think it depends on how you feel, I hadn't looked downstairs for a little while as I can't see it now lol, but had a look in the mirror and was horrified. I can't do waxing the thought brings tears to my eyes, shaving itches, so i bought new sensitive nair and with the help of a mirror managed to tidy up as best i could from what i could see lol. I personally wanted to tidy up as I know how I like to look and don't want to be known as the wild woman of calcutta, even though the midwives probably couldn't care less, it's what I feel comfortable with.0

Hi all sorry for long catch up post!
Spaghetti massive congrats on little Roef - hope to see a pic soon and that you are well!
Thanks so much ddebski for the Dotty P deal - I got 2 items and as such for the Khaki linen trousers for £0.80p! Plus the dress I got was £28 and stayed £28 once postage and discount were on, so I am very happy. Now, let's see if they fit when I get them!
C l a i r e - for moisturising bump I use pure organic shea butter and also jojoba oil purchased from ebay. Shea has no scent and melts on contact with skin. What I do it melt a knob of shea and also some of jojoba together so that when it cools it spreads better and it more liquidy. You can also add water as long as you do it when it's melting and stir very well. I tend to melt, then stick in freezer for 10 mins, then mix until it's like lotion and pop into a clean ans sterilised jar (was and pop in oven to dry).
It's nice and I know there are no added ingredients that way. Something like this would do if you wanted to try:

and for jojoba:

These can be used for all sorts - I make a great facial exfoliator with these plus added ground almonds, ground porridge and a few drops of essential oil.
Susan please post anywhere you feel comfortable here and/or on the 12-24 weeks thread, no matter what thread we're all at different stages and I think I am due a couple of weeks before you, we have all got questions and need info, so please join in when you can as you will be able to help others too with your experience.
Mrspendalot hope you are feeling better now and that you are able to get out when you can for soem fresh air and fun.
Dusty I love your approach re mani/pedi close to labour, treating yourself has to help baby that's what I keep telling myself
Charlie sorry to hear about baby's midnight dancing, must be a pain for you but I must say I can't wait for mine to be more obvious, hopefully this morning was the beginnings as I am sure I felt something :T
Apricot - I do think cravings are a bit of a fallacy, but it is one of the main things I get asked... I think our taste buds change from time to time but that's it really, plus the 'cravings' for take aways etc are no different to normal are they... as long as we don't want to eat chunks of coal or soap, i think we're ok! PS: I love Strawberry Ribena and I think I now have a craving by osmosis...!
Perdi sorry you are suffering from carpal tunnel - my hubby has it and it's so painful, I don't know if it helps you to avoid any repetivive tasks if you can - cleaning would be one of them
Princess Coupon hope you feel better soon and the flu leaves you quickly.
Alfalfa you made me laugh - I may have to eventually flash my lady bits at OH as well ha ha, I don't want him to see them as anything less than sexy, so I may be in a tricky situation having to blindly apply hair removal lotion instead and see, or just show him and know for sure! I agree with my1stbaby that I would rather be as tidy as I can so they can see what they need to down there easier...:):)
